How many terms are in the sequence, if you're given the first few terms and the last term? Solve for "n" in the sequence equation. I also show a shortcut, using logs.

great video. an easier way to find n would be to take exponential logs of both sides then using the laws of logs times by the power n-1 then divide both sides by log3. this would give log59049/log3 which is 10. that takes the guess work out of it but either way works. thanks
