Once you get a yes you can have them sign a contract. When I bought vending machines on locations most of those deals were handshake deals with the location (basically meaning that they been on the location for so long no contract was ever signed). As far as commission or rent I pay $0. I explain to them that I’m a service provider

You can give them commission. What your to do is add that commission back to the price of your product. For example if they want 10% commission and you going to charge $1 for chips charge$ 1.10. If they want 20% your price would be $1.20. So that basically cancels out the commission

I try to have a minimum markup of 100%. Depending on the item it can get up to 300%. Also price is determine on locations. If you have a premium location you can charge 5 dollars for the drink. Think like bowling alleys, amusement parks. It’s totally worth it if your location is good

How do you know if a person selling a vending machine with location is telling the truth about how much $ the location makes?

If it has a card reader there are bank statements. Without a card reader that’s where it can get tricky you would have to go to the locations and and look for signs of a good locations

How do you make sure this person doesn’t just remove the vending machine after or that they don’t have access keys to the machine. Etcc

You have the option to bolt the vending machine down. If there are cameras in the building that can help with theft. But remember to move a vending machine is a lot of work because of how heavy it is so someone would be able to see and report to you if anything seems suspicious.

I never ran into a problem where someone was trying to sell somebody else’s vending machine but I’m sure it does happen. You would have to do your due diligence. Google the business to see if there reputable, talk to the staff to ask if the recognize the person that selling. Also make sure they have a key. You can’t just buy vending machine keys there made 1 of 1 so that can indicate ownership. Hope this helps
