OMG, I'm an architect and and structural engineer and if anyone did this long math with fractions I would fire them. Since you started measuring with inches then fine, 15"x10"x12"=1800 cu. in. ÷ 1728 cu. in. = 1.04 cubic foot. 1728 is the total cubic inches in one cubic foot. (12"x12"x12") That's my long version. I wouldn't even mess with inches and would stick with feet; 1.25' x .83' = 1.04 cu. ft. done in two seconds.

@@JHarv901 i think he means what do you do if you want to find the length if you already have the volume. it would basically be the same @Irvin here is the calculation to find the breadth (width) Volume/Length=Width

Hello Mam thanks. I am from India. Your method is little touch. You do with simple methods like this. 15 Inch= 15/12=1.25 Feet 10 Inch= 10/12=0.833 Feet 12 Inch= 12/12= 1 Feet Now multiply all 1.25×0.833×1=1.04125 Cubic feet Thanky Mam

This is simple math. First, we should understand how 1 CFT is measured? Let us take an example of a wood block size 1 CFT, that is 1 feet depth * 1 feet width * 1 feet height. As per your question how many square feet in 1 cubic feet? this depends upon what thickness size sheets you want to cut from the wood block of 1 CFT. Let us take an example of 1 inch each thickness plank that equals to 12 planks can be cut from 1 CFT wood block. This is equal to 12 square feet from 1 CFT wood block. If you cut plank of half inch thickness you will get 24 sheets, this equal to 24 square feet. Converting CFT to SQFT you should always consider the thickness of each square feet, more thinner sheets you cut more square plank you get. Some examples Calculating half CFT : Each plank thickness half an inch, number of planks 24, width 6 inches, length is 12 inch= thickness X number of planks X width of plank X length of the plank divided by 1728 ( 1 CFT = 1728 square inch ) (.5*24*6*12)/1728 = 0.5 CFT Calculating one CFT : Each plank thickness half an inch, number of planks 24, width 6 inches, length is 24 inch = thickness X number of planks X width of plank X length of the plank divided by 1728 ( 1 CFT = 1728 square inch ) (.5*24*6*24)/1728 = 1 CFT
