And in Denmark, if passing a school, at least in my time, they had a fountain in the yard. And, drinking tap water in Denmark, most times just water pumped up directly from the ground, it will be better and of a higher quality than any bought water in a bottle!! So you are able to fill your bottle with "free" water from any place. Finn. Denmark

I miss a place to put a bottle on my Brompton. I have a special holder to put on the stem post and if using a T-bag, it has the natural pockets behind, to eventually hold the bottles. But riding one is harder than an ordinary bike, so it is more tiring that way and you may need more water by that? Finn. Denmark

I tend to ride with a backpack. Room for plenty of water, a bike lock, a packed lunch, hat, gloves and a jacket in case the weather turns and additional blinky lights that are higher and more visible than what can be mounted on the bike. One holder on the stem post for a single water bottle and a USB power pack for my electronics. By carrying on my back instead of on the bike the bike becomes lighter, faster, more maneuverable and can more easily be carried over obstacles, such as curbs and stairs, than are difficult due to weight and balance than if I carried all that on the bike. Bike also becomes narrower when walking through crowds.

Hi Finn Carl Bomholt Sørensen When riding around the city I carry only the bottle on the stem, is easy to find some water if need it. But when traveling, I use the T-bag for extra bottle. Keep Safe! Keep Riding!

Hi B.Griffin317 On long trips I don't like much getting my back sweaty and my shoulders tired. But I love your reasons for using a backpack when riding on the City. They are fantastic: lighter, more maneuverable, easy to carry ups and downs and narrower to pass in to crowds. Perfect! 👍🏻😊

@@ChrisbyBike If using the T-bag, it has two pouches for a - bottle and behind the stem post (to both sides), and may be used for shopping also. It has a reasonable riding balance when used, and a frame inside, besides a strap for carrying. I also have some loose front-frames, with a multible strap to secure things, if needed. I have never given my "Superlight" the two model carriers, from Titanium (one small triangle, and a more square version), which I have ready, but haven't had the "time" to actually mount on my bike! I mostly like to be able to remove the device, as I try to make the bike as light as possible, for now 9,35 kilo, and with mudguards! I have extra parts with which I hope to come below 9 kilo, I'm rather sure? The clamps holding the mudguards and stays are from "Heavy Metal" and may be changed, as also the two holders for them, so if I change to carbon and aluminum and a new M handlebar, also from carbon, I may save more weight! And if so it is hardly worth the extra money to buy a T-line, for much more money, with only 4 gears + mudguards, as it becomes past 8 kilo to my knowledge (KZbin!). I still have 6 gears to chose from, of which I use them all, at least at times during vacations. Finn. Denmark

Thank you Chris for all your videos and recommendations. You mention Camino de Santiago at the beggining. Did you go any of the routes by bike? Do you have a video on that or any recommendations, which root to take by bike? I am thinking of doing it with my Brompton hopefully next year and searching for options. Thank you 🙏

Hi Gabriela I'm glad you like it! I did the French way with my Touring Bike. It is marvelous. A fantastic experience. I've met some riders that were using a narow tires bikes. But it is not possible, using narow tires ,to ride on the Peregrine path. With the Brompton, you be only riding on the roads. There is a gruppe that makes this thrip Camino de Santiago by Brompton. Another option is to rent an MTB there. It is a great idea. About the videos, I have some about the preparation for the trip. Got great footage from the trip, but I didn't have time to edit. Nice to have you on board!

@@ChrisbyBike I have walked some of the Camino along the coast and to Finisterra by the Atlantic, some years ago. Also looking at A. Gaudis Palace, which became ordered for a local Bishop, but which was so impractical, that the Bishop never moved in! It had lots of room for religious indulgence, but not an office or a sleeping room, or - toilets to use. So today it is a Museum for the Caminos! But very impressive and special looking, as other of Gaudis works.
