I was a very long time thinking that I was autumn, because my skin is warm, but I didn’t realize that my primary aspect is bright. My skin is very light, my eyes are brown and my hair is brown as well. I don’t know the reason, but the most exemples in internet of bright spring has blue or green eyes.

At first I thought I was a Deep/Bright Winter, as my features are the stereotypical "Snow White look" 😅 later I dyed my hair cyan and it looked really good on me! But as time passed I noticed cool grays were such a disgrace for my face lol And I always received compliments using "wrong colors" like peach tones... Now I'm almost sure I really am a Bright Spring, and I was rocking cyan hair for being highly saturated, not for being cold! ✨💖

This was super helpful!! I think I finally have the answer: I’m a Bright Spring! My skin is very fair, I can wear both gold and silver jewellery, my eyes are close to what you call Topaz, and my hair has natural auburn and golden highlights. I also find my best colours are jewel tones and pinks/purples 😊

Thank you for these videos breaking down the colour seasons! I have been confused about my colour season as i haven’t really been able to pinpoint my undertone. It’s neutral, but I think it’s leaning slightly to the warmer side as I look better in a warm cream than a light grey and the like. Therefore I have been unsure whether I am a light summer or a light spring, but from watching your videos on summer and spring I think it’s pretty clear that I am a light spring. Now it makes a lot more sense why my mother (she’s an autumn) was so amazed that I looked good in light and muted colours and why she always tried to get me to wear more of them as a teen when I only wanted to wear dark colours. As I’ve grown up I’ve gravitated more towards the lighter colours. I guess she knew best after all.

Thank you so much for discussing primary and secondary characteristics! Mine are Light, Bright and Warm, in that order. I was determined to be a sort of combination of Light and Bright Spring, but I wanted to narrow it down more and you helped me do that. I’m pretty sure I am a Light Spring, since Light Spring is also bright. You really helped me understand why I look good in some muted corals, pinks, oranges and light olive. I thought mutedness was just a Summer trait, but slightly muted works well for me, especially if it’s combined with clear, light colors in an outfit. All the coral pinks and oranges, light pumpkin, maybe with muted brick and rust in a pattern, bring out all the shades in my strawberry hair. I usually wear clearer colors, but it can work to add softness, with a cardigan, pants, or anything that isn’t closest to my face. Now I can stop wondering if I’m really a Soft Autumn. You have a very detailed knowledge and are so good at teaching color theory! Some pros are great at analyzing people, but I have no idea what they’re talking about! Lol 😂

Years ago in high school when I first went to a hairdresser to get highlights on my mousy brown hair. No, he said you don’t have brown hair, you have very dark blond hair, which as he said it turns out adding blond to mousy ‘brown’ hair is much easier than if I actually had brown hair. So if your natural hair can be described as ‘mousy brown’ it could indeed be a very dark blond. And I’m a spring.

IVe always thought I’m a summer. Then got into analysis and light summer it is. Then I realised corals look amazing on me and silver is horrible. @bet - your main season (the 4 seasons) will not change. However, with age you can change subseasons: from a "true" season to a more muted/ soft version (example true autumn to soft autumn, true spring to light spring). That's accdg to another analyst.

Sounds right to me, bright springs handle bright colors better than any other season. They’re also “chameleons” in the sense that they can wear some bright winter colors such as black or royal blue

That sounds like winter to me as they are the ONLY season who looks good in bright white. The majority of the other colors you mentioned are jewel tones...and that doesn't suit any spring.

The more I learn the more confuse I get. I was confident I was in the Summer spectrum, but now I’m second guessing. I definitely have a soft sunburst in my iris, and people often struggle to determine my eye color. My hair is not as vibrant gold as springs nor as ashy (muted per say) as summers 🤷🏼‍♀️. And I can’t quite point out if I have warm or cold undertone. (So my guess with that is that I’m not a true of either…) UPDATE: I got my colors done (professionally) and I’m a Soft Autumn. Which in a way explains why it was so hard to determine for “newbie” as Soft Autumn primary characteristic is not the temperature.

I am exactly the same, from a distance and in different lights my eyes look gray, blue and green. But I know they are blue with the sunburst. My hair is a dark ashy blonde. I have some yellow tones but also that seems to change in cirtain lights. So confused, either a summer or a spring but not a true one

You definitely need to pinpoint your undertone first. Summer is cool and Spring is warm. Both have a very similar color palette though. I also have a sunburst, and my eyes can range from green to gray to blue- my eyes look different every day. But I'm a winter, with cool neutral undertones.

When I learn I was a Soft Autumn it was a bit of a dummer as I don’t really love those colors and my favorites were “out of my range”. However keep in mind there is a general palette for each season but there’s also the *corporative* palette for each, that has, in my case, the blues I was looking for and more… “classy” colors, if you know what I mean.

This is actually a really good video on the Summers. I was diagnosed a Summer many many years ago (actually thirty years ago I was a colour consultant, but what always threw me was the fact that I was kind of a mixture of Summer and Winter in the colours), but my question is that there are some Winter colours that are a bit stronger that look great on me, especially in the fuchsia/pink and neon pink range. I also look good in black garments although I shouldn't be able to wear black. Are there sometimes cross-types?

In the 16-season typing there are cross-categories for people who lie in between: you would probably be Cool Summer/Cool Winter (not the same as “true” types) that combine the two palettes with the emphasis on the coolness that is mutual for both summer and winter

I’m a house of colour blue spring, always thought I was an autumn before I was draped. My eyes are olive green, teal around the edge, and have a golden sunburst around the pupil. I have dark blonde/light brown hair. Fair skin that tans easily and freckles. I don’t 100% love the house of colour system and don’t know where I would sit in the 12 season colour system. I’m apparently a spring that suits all the blues in the palette the best, which means I sit next to winter... but I don’t think that makes me a bright spring because the brightest hoc spring subseason is paintbox spring, which is purely spring and doesn’t lean into the other seasons! I wish I had been analysed with a different system

What’s a blue Spring? HOC’s system is very interesting and it does seem to work on people I’ve seen typed there.

@@sciencenotstigma9534 House of Colour analysts sort you into your main season (spring, summer, autumn, or winter) using drapes in each colour palette, and then from the drapes of your season (in my case, spring) they decide which of the 4 subseasons you fit best (for springs that’s blue spring, paintbox spring, golden spring, or pastel spring) and that’s determined by which drapes suit you best. Blue springs suit the coolest spring colours, paintbox springs suit the brightest ones, golden springs suit the warmest ones, and pastel springs suit the lightest ones.

This is so helpful. I always thought I was a soft summer because I’m a darker blonde and have very light skin . Soft summer colors look awful on me so I’ve been really confused. My hair is actually strawberry blonde though and my eyes are the bright blue in the first example of pictures. They’re teal looking depending on what Im wearing. i think i’m a light spring! here are my features if anyone can confirm: golden blonde hair with light blonde highlights when exposed to sun, warm skin that tans and freckles in the summer to a bronze color, green eyes. i think i look best in muted colors (green and pink, mostly). my only problem is how dark my skin gets in the sun, past any of the shades usually shown for light springs.

I have purple and blue veins, but spring colours suit me best, how it can be possible?

I watched a video by a color analyst who is definitely warm, but also very light. She is a Spring with blue-appearing veins. I think vein color is only changed if there is enough pigment in the skin. I am the same way. My eyes and an olive green and gold. I have red hair with golden blonde on the outside layer (where it gets sun), and was determined to be Light Spring, with Bright as my second characteristic and warm-neutral skin. I have a pinkish blush, but my skin is practically transparent, so it doesn’t have a strong hue to it. This is pretty common in very fair-skinned redheads.

@@concepthree. I know you didn’t ask me, but I can tan, with light sun protection, but I don’t get much darker than a warm peach, unless I spend a LOT of time outdoors. Then I might have some detectable tan. Do you think very light people, maybe, don’t have enough pigment to affect vein color?
