If you delve deeper, your DHARMA revolves around "who do you see yourself as-the soul or the body?" Because your perception about yourself makes all the difference.

Swamiji o beautifully says that if we perceive ourselves as the body, the dharma is dictated by material attachments and we do not know how to act. If we pursue true knowledge of the scriptures, the purpose of our existence will become very clear. Thank you, Swamiji.

Swamiji beautifully answers a devotee’s question related to dharma and dharma-sankat. Our definition of dharma depends upon our perception of the self. If we perceive ourselves as the soul, then the dharma is to serve the Lord, whereas if we perceive ourselves as the body, the dharma is dictated by material attachments. Dharma-sankat arises when we cannot decide how to act. So Swamiji encourages us to pursue true knowledge from the scriptures to know the purpose of our existence.

i am so blessed Gurudev, that whatever topics i think about, you come with a video on it. Trust the following statement is TRUE - Please confirm. Swadharma is fairly misunderstood as passion (for pleasure). Swadharma is service to God through the talents given to us. Thanks for clearing my doubt. Radhey Radhey Govinda Radhey

Without the grace of the Guru we would not even be able to realize our true nature as the soul as we are covered in ignorance. Only when we know who we are, would we be able to sort out our Dharma i.e. what we are supposed to, what is our main duty etc. This requires a higher knowledge that only a Guru can give us. This is why it is so important to have a Guru. And the highest grace of God to get one. This video highlighting difference between the bodily dharma and dharma of the soul is a must watch.

The concept of 'Dharm' is so complicated and pervasive that in the Bhagavad Gita, comprising of 18 chapters Lord Krishna tried to clarify Arjun about his duty (dharm) and at the end concluded by saying - सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज | अहं त्वां सर्वपापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि मा शुच: || BG 18.66: Arjun! Abandon all varieties of dharmas and simply surrender unto Me alone. I shall liberate you from all sinful reactions; do not fear.

If you see you as body then bodily dharm is your duty .But Shree Krishna says in GEETA when you determine that you are soul not body then your darma to serve God.Such a devotion without self seeking and without discontinuation is PARAM DHARM.This is the real goal of life.Shat Shat naman Swami ji.

Body dharma is to the world - job, family, country, etc. Soul dharma is to love God, serve God, surrender to God. If there is dharma sankat, seek enhanced knowledge about the problem and solution!

The Bhagvad Geeta says that it is better to do your own duty, even if imperfectly, rather that someone else's duty, even if you do that well. The dharma of a karma-sanyasin is to love and serve God; while the dharma for a karma-yogi is to love and serve God plus take care of worldly responsibilities!

There is a karmi who does worldly DHARMA and there is a karm-sanyasi who rejects worldly duties and is only loving and serving God.But Bhagvad Gita tells the path of KarmYog.
