Understanding what eye shape you have is the first step to applying beautiful eyeshadow. In this video i will guide you through the various eye shapes so you can know for sure what eye shape you have and made any adjustments to your current eyeshadow routine.
Basic eye shapes are:
Standard Eyes - that would be me.

I think that everyone is beautiful just as they are, but I suffered a lot a few years ago because I heard some girls saying that my eyes were ugly because they are wide-set eyes. I am 40 something & I have known my eye shape for over 20 years. However, my daughter does not have eyes shaped like mine, & she is nearing makeup age. So I decided to check out makeup techniques to be able teach her how best to accentuate her beautiful face. I watched several videos on how to determine your eye shape. Yours was by far the best. I have to say I like this tutorial better than your previous one on eye shapes. I am a visual learner and actually seeing the examples of eye shapes on actual people helped me identify my eye shape. When you address the Asian eyes can you please talk a bit about the epicanthic fold? I have almond eyes.. and like you say i change their shape all the time I love the cat eye look but once in a while i make them look more round and all just with makeup.. I do have some issues with my epicanthic fold.. it does not always work out but I make it work by not putting eyeliner on it and start a few millimeters after the fold close to the lashes and thicker as it goes out to the edge of the eye.

I have almond eyes too and to make them rounder I shade the outer corner and inner corner and leave the middle a lighter shade, giving a rounder look than add loads of mascara.

My thoughts are that I love the way you speak about women ;) and still I'm not sure because I feel like my eyes are slightly hooded (for example when I do a flicked eye liner the flick is kind of hidden under the skin). I'm starting to think that maybe my eyes are deep set, but then they are quite large and almond shaped! confused all the way haha ;) the good thing, though, is that I found a makeup look that makes me look good and I feel really nice wearing it :) love from Poland!

I'm in between the standard and droopy eye. You can see a little of my eyelid but it does droop very slightly at the ends. It helped me so much to watch this so that I know what to do with my eye shadows. This was extremely helpful!

+Wayne Goss I have "standard almond" eyes -- that is, the outer corner of my eyes is higher than the inner corner, but otherwise my eyes are standard. What is the best? Do you recommend emphasizing the tilt with eyeliner, or drawing the eye down with eyeliner under the eye. I do both, depending on mood. (Sometimes both at the same time.) I generally don't like to use liner under the entire eye, as it tends to pull the eyes inward and down toward the nose (I think.) But was wondering if you had any insights. Great video. Thanks.

And I love making my eyes look more feline-esque, especially when I can draw volumes of greens out of my eyes. Depending on what I wear I can have a greenish turquoise or a gorgeous green which I prefer.

my eyes are naturally really round/standard, but my left one is a bit more standard/almond. I bothers me a bit😑
