I think I found my sound from layering drum breaks together and using different breaks instead just the amen break all the time. I use effects to shape my drum samples into something cool or just use different types of synthesis together.

Unique sound? Like finding techniques, tones that fit your image, or sound best in your own arrangement of sound selection? That should vary between every project, not found and replaced. If I were to add perspective, keep a toolbelt of “sounds” and “arrangement styles” as a better alternative to finding just one.

A lot of my music is this vintage mideval / sophie, arca like style to it. I use these textures in my sound, but most of the magic comes from my mixing.

The biggest compliment you're going to get from an actual critic is that you're a good study. not that it sounds amazing. not that it is original, because they have heard thousands of records. If you want to be as good as the people you look up to, then you were already willing to study them and write it all down. I think the only reason some people haven't is because they didn't think anyone else would go that far.

honestly, if u don’t watch tutorials and take a “trial through fire” approach to using DAWs, you’ll have no option BUT to have a signature sound because you’ll only be making beats that you like
@Dave1507Ай бұрын
@@Will-bn9km isn't that the purpose of making music? If that's not your intention, why do you make music?
