How to Finish a Single Leg Takedown When Your Opponent Sprawls. Lesson 5

In this segment of our series Josh Nolan from Silver State Wrestling will be covering the counter to a sprawl when attempting a single leg takedown. Getting the corners after your opponent gets you extended on a single leg. It’s important to get your height back (head up) and make your opponent carry your weight by driving in to them.
Executive Summary Cauliflower Collective is a small non-profit organization operating in three states (Hawai’i, California, and Texas). The organization provides services such as links and referrals to other agencies; community outreach and training; character based martial arts training; and specializes in working with at-risk youth. The target population is foster, adopted, special-needs children, and at-risk youth and young adults living with trauma. The eligibility requirements are: 1) be classified as a member of the target population, between the ages of 6-24, 2) have been exposed to trauma. The program being proposed is a therapeutic group which combines the benefits of a character based training program coupled with and trauma sensitive martial arts. The outcomes which are expected are a reduction in anxiety as well as marginalize PTSD symptoms. Who We Are. A group of Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling enthusiasts who are focused on changing the lives of foster, adopted, special-needs children, and at-risk youth and young adults living with trauma. Mission Statement. Cauliflower Collective’s purpose is to be a beacon of light within the community that fosters hope, progress, and change. CC achieves this through a character based approach to mentorship and teaching martial arts. This approach inspires positive changes and influence in each individual that attends our programs as well as the community that our programs support.
