Here's a method for finishing a V neck on woven fabrics which doesn't require any fancy gadgets & uses less fabric than facings.
There are many ways to do this, this is just one method & useful if you want to omit a centre seam in a pattern, such as the Ruffle Dress & Top by Dressy Patterns. This is day 72 of 100 days of sewing.
