Thanks for de-mystifying 2 pack expoxy finishing of acrylic paintings/poures. Your explanation was very clear. Now i`m going to give this a try on some acrylic pour coasters.

Resin can be applied using gloves hands. This will save a paint brush. Also, a heat gun can be used to remove all the tape from the back of the painting when it has dried resin drips.

Hint: when you measure square inches, add the two depths of each dimension also.

Great tutorial, thanks. I've seen people use their gloved hands to spread the resin around but I'm assuming you prefer the brush method. Have you finished larger paintings this way? If so, do you find the resin sometimes pulls away from the edges and sinks towards the middle?

Thanks for this great video - do you find that adding silicon to paint affects the behaviour of the resin? Thanks

Great Video. Just wondering, Can I use a heat gun as opposed to a torch or is it necessary to use open flame to heat the resin? Thanks

Thanks for the video. I really appreciate you showing us how to do it. I want to try it on a 15x30 canvas and a 20x20 canvas. Do you have any tips for using this on larger canvases? How would using a large foam brush work? Also, I live in the desert. My garage is about 80-85 degrees. Will that be a problem? Thank you so much.

On a big canvas isn’t not great. You can better use an mdf of panel for resin.

What do u recommend for coasters? I have tried sprays and art resin and glasses still stick to the surface. Enjoyed your ‘how to’ video.

I had same problem. After pouring I do 2 layers of glitsa for furniture. That works great. But Glitsa is the name in Dutch.

Great video thank you. What do you use to clean your brush please?
@MegaSteveshaw4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mandy, no brush cleaning at all! Throw that thing in the trash! Once the resin kicks that brush will become as hard as a rock. That's why I use the cheap brushes like you can find at The Dollar Tree. I wouldn't waste money on a good brush because with resin, it is a one use only situation. Hope this helps, Steve

water and paper towel won't ruin it? is it acrylic pouring?

My epoxy resin coating keeps fish eyeing over Pours with cells. Is it just that it is accentuates the cells or is there some other reason. I have cleaned the canvas's with warm soapy water and allowed them to dry. Any suggestions please. I scraped the resin off before it started setting which is frustrating as its not cheap.

Use anti fat. Maybe for cleaning you’re oven or kitchen. Or the stuf before you are painting the outside of your house. After that you can use water for extra cleaning.

What brand epoxy do you use?
@MegaSteveshaw4 жыл бұрын
Hi Nancy, I usually go to BestBartopepoxy.com because their prices are good and they throw in a nice kit with buckets, gloves and a mixer that fits in a drill for free. But Amazon also sells good stuff too. Steve

Please please please use VOC mask every time you use any resin, even if it doesn’t smell. Even if you are outside or with perfect ventilation. Research this and promote safe practices. Thank you very much for your tutoring.

Kathy, You are absolutely right. Sometimes I'm a bit too cavalier - you should wear a mask. Thanks for the reminder. Steve
