How To Fish A Swimming Worm with TylersReelFishing! | UNDERRATED Technique for BIG Bass

Tyler Anderson from Tyler’s Reel Fishing is back on the channel and this time he’s talking about a sneaky good bait that is often slept on, the swimming worm. The swimming worm is a straight bodied worm with a cut tail that flaps and displaces water on the fall and on a straight retrieve. A swimming worm excels in shallow water around grass, stumps, laydowns, and docks. Fish it exactly as you would fish a spinnerbait or swimjig - reel slowly, twitching the bait along the way, and then killing it periodically and letting it sink. Since this technique is almost 100% snagless, you can really experiment with all sorts of retrieves around heavy cover without getting hung up. Tyler breaks it all down for you here!

Check out Col. Dave Harbour's book for an ancient swimming worm method. I fished it for years, and it really works like a champ in ponds.

A Zoom Bait 4-Inch Tab Tail Grub produces the same or better results. Its a shorter body profile plastic worm but the tail action is very active. There is another KZbin angler that SWIMS a jig so many lures soft or hard can be fished beyond there design or marketing to anglers.

Not down south where these baits were designed and developed basically for heavy hydrilla.... The grub won’t get it done.. It’ll work you to death picking long strains of grass off every single cast... Our season is about to start up the first of January on Harris Chain and the Opener March 16th for the Bass Master Opens.... Ill go threw 50 bags of those cutter tail worms and Magnum Zoom speed worms in the next 3 months....... Gubs up north maybe but down here where the big boys play it’s 7’3” heavy’s with 65 suffix 8/32, Mag cutter tail worm #5 flipping hook and most of the time 1/2 pegged tungsten... When she eats it you try and break the rod.... You’ll bust the drags on at least 2 reels in 3 months... The hammers will anyway.... The Googans with there bansh*toe bugs and the 11lb Drag SLX’s on the medium heavy white birds favorite’s and there back packs “getting it done” at the golf course ponds won’t break many drags.... But love to give you tips 😂😂🤣🤣

23 over 8lb last year in 2019...... four in the 9s, three in the 10s and a pb 13.13lbs...... 25+ over 7lbs......That’s guiding 300 days 7 days a week normally though... Naturally you should catch em put en in the time

Great video young man, very informative and nicely edited. Please stop 🛑 letting the fish touch the ground, sometimes dirt and grass doesn't immediately wash off when released and could cause a infection by hampering their protective slime coat. ✌
