I’ve run these spacers on my 2002 SS for 12 years. Never had a problem. Make sure they are high quality hub-centric and machined on a CNC using high grade hardened aluminum. I’m running the stock wheels and tires and the car puts down about 390 hp at the rear wheels. Car is set up for the track and I’ve ripped plenty of canyons. Never an issue, but please make sure they’re machined from the strongest alloy. Mine were custom machined with hardened lug bolts and ran me about $90 a piece. Running 1.75” up front and 2” out back to get the right stagger. Hope this helps.

I'm not a fan of wheel spacers. The engineering involved in an axle is not just 'wrong.' Increasing the space between the wheel (load) and the bearing increases the pressure on those bearings. I don't think it's as bad for them as many think. But it isn't good for them. I'd suggest an inspection every other year, and fresh gear oil. Replace them at the first signs of bluing. Fresh gear oil every other year should get you plenty of life out of them still. But don't take the car drifting. You need a stronger axle first, even without the spacer. The GM 10 bolt isn't the greatest axle ever made.
@redneckengineering77398 жыл бұрын
+Nuvey yeah its that or much more expensive wheels but i dont drive it much so as long as the wheel dont fall off ill b ok lol

Little preventative maintenance, and you won't have any issues. Just remember while doing services, that the bearings are taking a bit of extra wear, so check them every year.

I'm getting a set for my 94 Z28. The only problem that could occurr is the internal lug nuts come loose, which could be a issue. How many miles between removing the wheel completely to re-torque the spacer lug nuts, is the question. If you can't afford to put wider rims on the rear, this is a good fix for sure.

If you follow the manufacturer directions there should not be any issues. I only have the spacers on the rear axles and my Z28 runs smooth, no vibrations.
