HOW TO FIT IKEA SCHOTTIS BLINDS INTO A BAY WINDOW | BUDGET BAY OR LARGE WINDOW BLINDS
So if you ever wondered - Can you fit IKEA SCHOTTIS blinds into a bay window? The answer is YES YOU CAN!
In this video I run through how I fit 5 of the IKEA SCHOTTIS pleated paper blinds into my large bay window and I think for such a budget item they look great!
The blinds cost a total of £17.50 and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have been able to buy one roller or venetian for the side window for that price!

They look fab Laura! I’ve used those myself and they’re a place holder until you get what you want. In my case, “temporary” took awhile and they wore well over a bit of time ;).

They look nice but I wonder how durable they will be. Especially when my cats decided to try and climb them 😅 you did the Velcro part wrong which is why is ripped, the Velcro is supposed to go on the clip

Hey, can you glue them on the window glass itself? Because if glued on top above window frames m, you can't property open the windows or they fall off eventually..

I don’t see why not but if you’re prone to getting condensation I would imagine they are likely to come unstuck. They will definitely last longer on the frame 😊

Thanks Lauren, yes I was really surprised how good they were to say they were so cheap! I could probably do with taking them down again to keep all the dust off them whilst doing the fire I hope I can get them to stick back again afterwards though! X

How do the clips hold the blinds up when you don’t want them shut? 🙂

They just kinda keep them all gathered together, they do struggle a bit the more that’s gathered up but I prefer them half mast and they seem to manage ok. I’d you wanted them up all the way you could maybe fix something else on to tie them such a ribbon x

I was wondering that. All the videos I've seen so far show them fitted to the ceiling, which is no use to me. I was hoping I could attach one to a glazed UPVC back door.

Hello, thanks for the video! is there a possibility to roll them all the way up? I'm looking for something to block out the sun in the morning but I'd want the whole window in the afternoon. do these blinds have an option to tie them all the way up? thanks :)

Yes you can fold them all the way up (up to the thickness of the actual blind) I think the clips may struggle a bit all the way but you perhaps get a piece of ribbon or something similar to attach to tie onto them 😊 x

I think my landlord must have watched this because I've got these crap things for my bedroom with a bay window. As soon as you open the window in summer they flop all over the place which is really f*ing annoying and not to mention pinning up 5 of these things every day. Please spare your tenants these if youre a landlord omg!
