You are a superior explainer and demonstrator! You take nothing for granted about how much the viewer knows. You teach some things that may be basic obvious things to a pro, but to a newbie they are the difference between success and failure. I'm familiar with cars and have repaired lots of cars for friends. I have probably watched hundreds of repair videos. But our videos are far better than most I've watched. No annoying music either.

I didn't use this tutorial as intended. I instead used it to pull my start fuse so no one can steal my Hyundai in these trying times(because it is a serious issue atm, Hyundais and Kias) so thank you. I feel less anxious now.

Well done instructional. I have a problem with the 1/8" input beside the power outlet- connection is very poor when I plug in ipod. Is there a way to take the face plate off for that area and get in and either replace the 1/8" female connector or fix the connection? tia

@VirarAutomotive

Replacing the entire outlet is a bit more work. I'll try and make a video on that when I can get a 2011-2014 Hyundai sonata with me.

No it doesn't unfortunately. Usually when that USB /Aux part goes bad, the way to fix it just replace the part. It's a fairly common issue.

Sir where is fuse for backup camera in that car
@VirarAutomotive
@VirarAutomotive Жыл бұрын
I don't think there is a seperate fuse for the backup camera. The backup camera going bad is a common issue for the 2011-2014 Hyundai Sonata. The solution to it is just replacing the camera itself. It takes some work, but I have done it a couple times in the past and its totally doable, probably take like 20-30 mins.

Where can we purchase extra fuses?
@VirarAutomotive
@VirarAutomotive Жыл бұрын
Any auto parts store will have new fuses. Be sure to buy ones of the right size and amperage. I would suggest a blown fuse with you in the store when you go shopping.

Can’t find any spare fuses 15A They’re all too big! Help😢
@VirarAutomotive
@VirarAutomotive 7 ай бұрын
I'd suggest checking around there in the store. There are a couple standard sizes of fuses. There is one that is bigger than the one in the Sonata and one smaller too. Good luck

my fuse wasn’t burned tho
@VirarAutomotive

Then it's likely the outlet itself.
@52msdiane

its not a fuse I had that checked
@VirarAutomotive
@VirarAutomotive 2 жыл бұрын
Well in that case it's probably the outlet itself or the wiring. The fuse is usually the culprit and easiest to try out.

@@VirarAutomotive are they expensive to replace?
@VirarAutomotive
@VirarAutomotive 2 жыл бұрын
The part itself is not expensive. Around $30-35, a mechanic shop would charge you about 1 hour of labour. ~$100.

so you didn’t have to buy a different fuse???
@VirarAutomotive
@VirarAutomotive 3 жыл бұрын
That is correct. There is a spare fuse in the car to solve the problem right away. At a later time point I suggest to get a pack of fuse to replace the spare fuse that gets used up to fix the problem here

@@VirarAutomotive I found out that in my 2011, there are no 15A spare fuses under the driver's side dash, but there are 10 & 20's. I'm sending u a link to a page that shows not only the 2011, but later years too.
