How to Fix a Bad Shifter Bushing // BMW E30 Build

Hey guys!
Welcome back as always :)
In this episode I got to fixing the sloppy shifter in my 1985 BMW e30. This has been the single biggest problem with this car and to finally have it fixed is something awesome in itself.
It has truly revolutionised the feel of the entire car and I couldn't be happier :)

Hi i wanna ask what gearbox is that and u should of showed us how much slop it has in gear after you fixed the problem u only showed neutral which was abit annoying i think i might need to do this to thnx

i have an 85 as well, and it looks like my shifter has the same amount of play based on the amount of movement yours showed while in gear... my guibo and related underside parts all look good, but i have to replace one or more of the bushings on the top side/in the shifter assembly. have you done those replacements and do you have a video or any tips?

I have a getrag 5 speed on an e46 and my neutral is loose! It doesn’t go back to the centre at all, could replacing this bushing fix that? As I cannot find the spring that brings it back to the centre?

your problem is on the springs inside the gearbox..

That linkage plate / arm - what is the actual part number - I have the exact same linkage arm - the bolt bracket has snapped need a replacement part - any help ?
