😊Brilliant - thank you! it's 2022 and I repaired our dryer saving us $ and giving me a confidence boost to dismantle and fix things. That's the big reward here. 30 minutes? It took me all day because I had less-than ideal tools and less-than ideal skills. Yes - the screw at the bottom of the side panel was a surprise discovery - but each model is a little different. I vacuumed everything inside the machine as I went - so satisfying. And removed soo much CAT HAIR+lint from the sump tank inside: gunk city. And now, amazingly, it runs 😀 - thanks again, from New Zealand.

Useful video! Thanks. I had an F11 error and found a ton of fluff all over the motor and belt assembly. Removing side panel was a pain until I found the screw in the bottom, requiring a tilt of the machine to access. I also had to wiggle the frame a bit when I re-assembled it, to get all the screw holes to line up. Dryer now running again!

Hey I just cleaned my 8th series heat pump dryer today model no Wtw87560gb, I spent hours looking for this float switch in the end I found it at the back of the dryer bottom left and the new design meant it doesn't require any disassembly, at the back there are two triangle shaped wedges just push them down gently and pull that cover out, you will see a coil and white cover for motor and two power cables and one black pipe, gently remove cable from both sides after that at the back of motor you will see another bit of plastic that is holding up the motor assembly again gently pull the plastic towards you and lift the whole assembly out make sure that those cables are not In the way once out on the right side you will see two metal contacts give them a through clean and also empty the reservoir and check the pump. once done put everything back and that should fit it, let me know if you have any questions

I had a slightly different problem with this drier. After four years it was taking ages to dry and not really getting hot. I found that the second heat exchanger in the heat pump, the hot bit, was clogged with lint. There was a lot of lint in the inside of the machine probably as air was forced out of other leak paths. After cleaning it heats up more and dries properly.

Hi bxpressiv, I've got a WTW842E0, which I guess is quite similar, with a broken drive belt. To fit the new one over the drum, do I have to remove the front or the back of the dryer?

bxpressiv, thanks for video! I have a problem with CONDENSATION over condesate cont. assy (downstream flushing system)... Over dryer is full condensation, more than around 'condesate cont. assy'...?

Hi there an thank you for your video :o) I have the same dryer, but the problem I am facing is that the dryer is not heating up. It runs normal and without error messages. I can't find any reset buttons as there is no typical heating element. Do you have any idea how to work this problem?

Rasno Bravo Thanks for dropping me a message, I'm glad it helped you out. I agree there seems to be a bit of a flaw in the design because to keep this type of dryer running at optimal levels will require this procedure to be done every year or two. So to be unable to easily clean the lint out from the condensor and water reservoir is a major annoyance.

This was helpful,but in my case, there is a easyer way to clean the reservuar. Under heat excheinser (exuse my bad english) is a small cover. You can open it easy(no scruws) and clean it even under pump. But this hase be done with feel in your fingertips, because You can not see enything. Discoverd this after i disassembled my dryer. I have Bosch series 4.

Hey there , I have the Bosch wty86790gb self cleaning condenser dryer . It’s heating up and spins fine but it’s not collection water in it’s container instead am getting condensation throughout the machine. I’ve had the Engenier round and he said the dryer cannot be opened up it’s the way the company made it because it’s suppose to be self cleaning . What can I do ? Will it be the same process as in your video I can get my brother to have a go . Thanks in advance .

Machine Bosch classic ixx cuts out after a couple of min cleaned reservoir and fan at back. Problem still exists. Is there a reset button I could use

I will never buy a bosch dryer again. The company should have made it easier to clean this. You have to open the dryer and do the cleaning. Next time i will buy a cheaper one.

gio krek I'm on the fence about it myself when mine eventually dies. I love the energy efficiency as I use the dryer for everything but not being able to clean it is a huge design flaw. Supposedly self cleaning but rarely does lint end up in the water reservoir catcher. Also I really want a dryer that spins both ways so I can do sheets without untwisting them every 15mins to try to get them dry.

This is great information and kudos for the effort. You absolutely need this video if your drum has stopped spinning. However, for many people, F03 is the problem and you don't need to disassemble anything. See my video at kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYabZXaonNZ7lc0 for a quick cleanout of the sump. I'm also working on an updated video which shows removal of the same pump you show here, but again, no disassembly required because I remove it through the tunnel. -MITEEMAN

MITEEman Good point, depending on your model you can just access the area as shown in the linked video. However some models, I believe the self cleaning ones, are sealed so you're unable to access the condensor.
