How to Fix a Broken USB Hard Drive connector

Hard drive usb connectors can become whobbly and broken after years of use. We need to solder this usb 3 connector back to the pcb of a hard drive so that we can recover data from it.

I've got an OWC Thunderbay that has a thunderbolt port that was ripped out (I can't find the bit inside). I've also got a 4 bay thunderbolt NVME enclosure that won't turn on and I suspect the power usb-c plug to be the issue. Do they work the same as usb-c in this video?

I never knew that these drives existed. I always thought that all external hard drives were just regular 2.5" SATA drives with a USB adapter in an enclosure.

Seagate is the only brand that is a SATA drive with a USB adapter. WD and Toshiba both have embedded USB
