How to Fix a Clogged Garden Hose Nozzle

I have the fireman’s nozzle sprayer, but the video helped me with the cleaning. I opened the sprayer, poured baking soda, using a q-tip to aid it through the narrow hole, followed by vinegar. Then I opened the nozzle and poured the solutions on the opening onto the threads, then closed it and did the tip with the same process. I rinsed it then put it back on the hose and it worked like it was supposed to, instead of spraying in random directions. I appreciate it the video, thanks!

I've gone through so many hose nozzles over the years watering my roses and washing my vehicles. I use mainly the shower setting which constantly gets clogged. I'm going to try keeping the nozzle end submerged in a sealed container of vinegar when not in use. Thanks for the baking soda tip. I'll have to give that a try as well. Happy gardening.

A few months ago I changed from a plastic gun nozzle to an aluminum wand. It has been doing much better than the gun.

Wonderful! Can you post a link to buy the o ring on the inside? Turns out that was my problem

I don't have a link. The size of the O-ring is dependent on what kind of hose nozzle you have. You can do a search for "o ring for dramm hose nozzle" or whatever the brand name of yours is, that will get you started in the right direction.

I don't buy anything made of plastic. My nozzle is brass.

Brass is good, there's just the issue with lead in brass nozzles. So as long as you check with the manufacturer about the hazards, they're a great choice.
