How to Fix a Corrupted Font and Convert it for Website Use

Great repair method and tutorial. Thank you for putting this up! I was getting two font errors from Chrome's Inspector. One was "Failed to decode downloaded font" and the other was "OTS parsing error: invalid sfntVersion: ...". This was being triggered from a @fontface declaration in my stylesheet. I tried several different versions of the font from various sources, but couldn't get rid of the error. Your remedy fixed the font file and no more error! As a bonus, the final Woff2 file was significantly smaller for the repaired one than the Woff2 that gave me the error.

You want to host without buying a server to host it on? That's not really possible in a secure way. Maybe a Google drive link and then open the permissions for it. Fonts can't live rent free 😆

Thank you very much, I had the error "downloadable font: Table discarded" shown in the Firefox Developer console when using fonts in the .tff format so I used transfonter to convert the broken .tff to .woff and now no error is shown!
