Made this very simple that anyone can do. Well done, and nice tips marking both side of the door and also taping for the cut

Thank you, I appreciate it. You’re a content creator as well and as you know it takes a lot more time when making it super easy to follow along with all the details and voiceover, but if it helps others it’s well worth it. 👍

WHERE to add the shims makes a huge difference. 1) on the bottom hinge, obviously 2) Door scrapes floor a) ...within first 45 degrees of opening swing i) shim between hinge and door b) ...beyond 45 degrees of opening swing ii) shim between hinge and jamb (framing that hinge is mounted to)

Nice video! Thanks for the tip on using a long nail to remove the pins on the door hinges & using painters tape to protect the door when trimming it. 👍

Simple but smart techniques. I have to deal with a couple of doors that stick on the jamb side even after grinding down and bending hinges. Complete pain. LOL.

Thank you! I agree doors can be a pain. Lol they’re one of my least favorite to work on and some how I have multiple door home repair videos.

Did you try shimming the lower hinge? WHERE to add the shims makes a huge difference. 1) on the bottom hinge, obviously 2) Door scrapes floor a) ...within first 45 degrees of opening swing i) shim between hinge and door b) ...beyond 45 degrees of opening swing ii) shim between hinge and jamb (framing that hinge is mounted to)

If you dont need excessive adjustment, just shim the lower door hinge.

I have this problem with the kids room. The only problem is we rent and therefore do not want to have to purchase all the stuff used in the video. May have to find a different solution. Sadly.

Another solution that is a bit more manual is to just use sandpaper or a hand planer to remove the material from the end that is rubbing. Does that help?
