I don't understand how you are painting the chin in, I did exactly what you did but nothing.

It's the undo brush, I believe. He's undoing some areas to an earlier state.

He put a mask by the chin layer. This way, by using the white brush, he was able to restore the chin from the original layer and blend them together. He did a good job at that but forgot to explain this step.

Rochdi Tidjani I tried using it and it didn't work for me at first but I found if you change the paintbrush color to black it works

When I try to adjust the Reference Point Location, in the Warp tool, the grid is greyed out, so I can't change the settings. Please can someone tell me how to unlock it?

I just had the same issue, you have to click it before you right click and "warp". So make the selection with the lasso tool, CNTRL-J, CNTRL-T, NOW click the small box on the left of the Reference Point Location!
