How to fix a drippy faucet

Thank You. 40 years in A/C and commercial refrigeration, but don't know nothing about faucets. The last half was exactly what I needed to know. Found part at Lowe's. Job is done. Thanks Loads. Some will say, stop being a tight ass, and just call a plumber. I did, and he never returned. And then said he couldn't find the part. It pays to be mechanically inclined, and willing to get your hands dirty.

I did my hot water one perfectly but noticed my cold water was making a thumping sound 😮.. I took it apart again and made sure I had it in the open position like you said and now it’s perfect too!.. 😊

WoW thanks a lot, I've been playing with this thing and seen that the valve should come off, but it was really tight. But, after watching you explanation I was able to get it out. Now time to find the seal! thanks a lot

Hey Randy how can I sturdy up my mobile home bathtub shower combo ? It has a small crack going into the drain which is in the back middle section of the tub so whenever someone showers their weight causes pressure on the plastic tub and making the crack . So what could I do to sturdy up under the tub ?

The problem some of you will run into when attempting to fix an older leaky faucet is finding replacement parts, many parts are obsolete and no longer available. I had to visit four plumbing suppliers before finding just one replacement part which made it difficult to complete my repair.

No leaks what about debris not allowing water to have sufficient pressure. Very hard water at the river mobile home. Plastic valve with a washer behind knob that has a notch sits in the groove kinda deal. Thanks.

Your video was great if you have access from the backside of the shower faucet, but what is the answer when your backside is the outside wall? And I'm saying the exterior outside wall. Can the faucet still be replaced from inside home bathroom ?

There are a couple of different size seats. Just need to know the length of them. You could still be leaking if the seats are too short.

What if the leak is due to a failing shower valve?

If it is leaking from the shower arm that is attached to the wall, you will want to replace that shower arm and flange. If it is leaking from a shower handle, you can replace the stems inside the handles. You will need to remove it in order to get the right part. There are many different types and styles It is best to take it with you when looking for one.

The cabinets above the washer and dryer area should not be a unique size for a mobile home like kitchen cabinets are. So just make sure to hit the studs of course. Is that the type we’re talking about?
