I think isopropyl alcohol will strip the flocking off, or you can use rubber cement. You just slather the rubber cement on leave it on for a few seconds then vigorously scrub at it. You might have to do it a couple of times. Your best bet is Google, lol, bottomline is you have to actually remove the flocking around the hole in order for the patch to stick to the vinyl or whatever your mattress is made from.

This is false, with the air pressure, the patch comes off.I had a small notch, I was forced to insert a patch inside, glue and put a patch back on the outside. Bonded patches are only effective if there is water pressure.
