When you put the chain back on, don't you have to keep in mind where that connector link is in the chain so it does not hit the top before the blind is all the way down?

My blind didn't have a screw - in which case you can remove the control mechanism just by pulling it hard from the blind, it might be quite stiff - but it worked for me.

My chain is actually broken (I think one of the kittens may have chewed it), so unfortunately this didn't help. Maybe it's necessary to get a new chain.

Chain fix for RollerBlind. In case you are here to reattach the chain for a Louvolite Shade System 40 clutch R3025, this is what you do Remove blind - steps to do this: - roll up blind (if you can with a little force, but not essential), push chain end in a direction it will move a little, usually up, push toward other end., it should nonkw be detachable from chain end) Once removed, roll up blind if not already Pull out mechanism on chain end - the whole chain enclosure mechanism should slide out - use a flathead screwdriver to ease out if necessary. Remove the plastic pin from point at the end, prise out with a small Phillips screwdriver in the hole if can't do manually Replace the chain - if it has a joiner the make sure it is placed close the mechanism on the side where the chain is chain is will drop down. Reverse process to refit.

This seems a bit long winded. I didn't need to take it off the wall at all. You just get a small plastic tyre lever (or flat head screwdriver). Then you lift up the little plastic cover at the top where the chain rolls in with the lever/screwdriver and push the chain in with your finger, one ball at a time. Keep moving up and over the back, pushing the chain in as you go. You can use another hand to pull the chain down from behind at the same time and it will just roll into place. The cover is flexible and returns back to its place. 2-3 min job.

I have this type of blind but mines not getting hard or stuck or off it’s track but when using it, I can pull it down part way but then it just unrolls down by itself so I have to wedge the chain to a wire to hold it in place. Any help would be gratefully accepted. Many thx

No screw on mine. Looks like it's got expanding plastic clips.. Somehow need to squeeze them together and pull apart mechanism.. Easier said then done

Got the mechanism off, reinstalled the chain put mechanism back together, tested the chain, now its stuck wont move and can't get the mechanism to pull apart, note..no screw in centre, pops apart when slightly squeezing the centre, need to fix asap as this is a rental , advice pleeeeese

I just fixed mine, I have stoppers in the chain, it could be that. If so, you have to ensure the stoppers are positioned correctly when putting chain in mechanism.

Have just fixed the problem my ex boyfriend created and couldn't fix, telling me I had to "call the real estate." Just make sure the chain connector clip (connecting the two ends of the chain to make the chain loop) doesn't foul the mechanism when the blind is pulled up/down. Get that aligned at the top of a rolled up blind before reinstalling on the window so that the clip goes down when the blind is also pulled down.
