I have an Amana dryer from back in the days when their laundry stuff was like Speed Queen. About 10 years ago I replaced all the moving parts trying to get rid of the most annoying squeak that happened after it warmed up. Nothing would fix it. Finally when I removed the belt when it was still warm tearing it down for like the tenth time I saw that the pully on the motor could move; there was a ton of endplay on the shaft. I guess the bushings or bearings in the motor had worn out from use. I found a new replacement motor on eBay for a decent price and installed it and that fixed the squeak. Haven't worn out the second motor yet.
