Your pricing is off Chris! A brand NEW clock is UNDER 15 USD. Not nearly 40, like you said, even in AUD. I like your repair process. But this was not so valuable a fix. You need to save the world! Focus!

My searching showed prices quite a bit higher than you suggest Shane, for a quality brand. Sure there are much cheaper Chinese options - but really the price is irrelevant. Most of these repairs are about saving something from a premature death rather than demonstrating an economically viable repair! You guys are helping to keep me focused with your comments though - well done! 😁👍
