Bud saved my camping trip. End of the wire ended up in the motor and melted the crap out of it. I thought she was a gonner. Did this little gem and shes good to go again. A little shorter but good to go. Thanks.

Thank you! We bought my son a used Rustler and he could only drive it one house away. Now it runs 7 houses away, and maybe more. That's just as far as we've tested it. Great fix!

Open the box and solder on a wifi airial cable from a laptop it's same coax cable traxxas uses. Done in under 10 mins and you have original range.

But if a broke just the end piece not the metal one what can I do to have some good range again?

You take the speed of light divided by 2,4 the Ghz divided by 4. ! 31 228 381 and make it to mm insted of m/s you just put an " , " aftare 31. :)
@brandonhouston80867 жыл бұрын
its actually close to 31 mm a little under its like 30.73 mm if you to the math you devide 300 by 2.44 and take 1/4 of that

Hi.. I have a traxxas summit .when I operate the model about 15 feet away from me, it looses signal. I have to go close to the truck to get signal again. Then I thought it was from batteries, I changed those to new ones. But problem remains as before. And I connected fully charged Lipo batteries. I installed traxxas roof light bar previous day. So I thought problem comes from there. Then I checked it and re installed it. So I can't find any fault here. Before I worked great with wide range.Thanks.

This just happened to mine, did you figure out what was wrong with it?

Thanks Guy. I did exactly you showed, and I fixed my Rustler TQ 2.4 short range problem.
@Don_Matteo Жыл бұрын
I still have the metal piece on it but still the range is all of a sudden only 15 meters.

I measured my good one on 6533 transmitter and it's actually 29mm so there may be slight tuning variations with the models. Can anyone confirm length of 6519 and 6533?
@justinmallaiz45494 жыл бұрын
I will check my good one. But till then Note: 1/4 wave length of 2.4Ghtz is 31.25 mm. That is theoretically what it should be
@Inertia8882 жыл бұрын
@@justinmallaiz4549 if the manufacturer puts capacitance or induction at the PCB, it can be tuned to a little longer or shorter than the exact 1/4 wave length. I don't know if Traxxas tunes their radios or not, but some places do, so it is worth taking into account the possibility

32mm in inches is 1.25984" your not going to be able to get that on a ruler. just use Metric instead of standard. its much easier

Traxxas rc car how to find motor voltage
@traxxaskid92004 жыл бұрын
Ah.... but you see, that depends on your battery. You know how it's possible to use a brushless speed control on a brushed motor? You can do the same with a volt meter. I forget precisely what they are called but, hook it up to the speed control, hammer it, and it should tell you voltage and output. You would need 2 of the 3 of these measurements to figure out the missing measurement: battery voltage, motor kv, motor rpm under 0 load. Battery voltage multiplied by kv = maximum motor speed. Motor rpm divided by battery voltage = kv. Motor rpm divided by voltage = kv.

How do i take the receiver off
@traxxaskid92004 жыл бұрын
There should be a nut that holds the antenna on, loosen it, and remove it. Take the two screws off the big cover that has Traxxas written on it, lift the cover, remove the blue O ring, gently pull the receiver out, pull the plugs out for the servo and speed control, pull the antenna out, lift the receiver out, done. If you have any questions, you may ask me if you dont find any information on it.
@traxxaskid92004 жыл бұрын
I also recommend paying good attention, taking pictures of your work, and diving in. That's the most affective way you can learn. The reason for taking pictures is so if information is forgotten, it isn't lost, you still have pictures to rely on.
