Hello everyone. Im 30 years old and learned something new a week ago. Maby the best repair invention ever!!! A normal inner tube but cut in 2 and sealed both ends. U never need to take the wheel off the bike. For sure electric mountenbikes. Its called a snake or sausage tube. If u inflate it its a straight tube. I never seen it before .
@Consolethumbs2 жыл бұрын
Little tip is get a lighter and heat up the bacon strips after you snip the ends off it will melt both ends together and form a little glue and seal better.

Helpful video! I just got a puncture out on a ride about a hour ago on the same tire in the video: Vittoria Mazza! I wonder if this tire is more prone to punctures than a Maxxis or other brand because I rarely ever get punctures. It's a very small puncture so I'll try checking my sealant level and add if necessary. Thanks!

Hi! Thanks for the comment, we really appreciate it! We'd recommend the Vittoria Air-Liners as they do such a decent job at protecting your rims from damage and dents. They're more useful for rocky and dry conditions but they still work a treat if you accidentally case a jump! It's a great bit of extra security to keep your bike running prime! 🙌

Was sceptical at first ,but being able to just pull thorns out of tyre and ride on is worth it and lower tyre pressures of course. Downside is getting enough air volume to seat the bead i found but 29+ tyres on 50mm rims

I suppose there is a reason for not showing how the tyre is removed from the rim 😉 In my experience, it is a pain to put on and take off a tubeless tyre, especially when you are not at home. So for me, there's not this big advantage of the tubeless tyres compared to the tyres with the inner tube. The nasty sealing fluid makes things even worse.

How deep should the sealant be on the ‘dipstick’
@gmbn2 жыл бұрын
Hi James! It's all dependent on how much sealant you've filled your tyre up with. Next time you top your sealant up, measure how much you put in, and then work out how much you've lost when you've been out riding! Another top tip is to compare the sealant levels with your other wheel. 👍

Using a tire boot as a permanent tubeless fix for a decent sized slash is absolutely useless. You need to sew the tire with burly thread, or better yet, fishing line. Then super glue inside and out, then use a proper butyl patch with the cement. Re-do the sealant and it's an actual "permanent" (life of the tire) fix.
@Ris-v4w Жыл бұрын
thanks for this! i think this is what im looking for, a "butyl patch". because i tried classic patches and they just get un-glued, i think the sealant also ruins the patch glue :/ the last one i put in there was just floating in the sealant after a day's ride 😅
@SnootchieBootchies27 Жыл бұрын
@@Ris-v4w just so you know, the patches im referring to are the old school ones you use on tubes. You have to clean the sealant off the tire really well, then make sure the vulcanizing fluid is dry but tacky. Then stick your patch and it will last a long time.

Everything functions properly kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Nothing was damaged in the box aside from a decal on the fork. The decal was missing a piece of a corner but I ended up peeling them off anyways. Assembly is easy BUT make sure you tune up the derailleurs. Both the front and rear need adjusting. I'd advise going to a bike shop but I opted out and put in 10+ hours with the help of KZbin. Ended up fraying a shifter cable but all in all I learned from the experience. The Brakes work well but the front caliper needs adjusting or at least mine did because the rotor was rubbing against the pads. Make sure you swap out the seat, grips, and pedals. For the short run you'll be fine though. I've read that this bike isn't built yet for hard trails but I just need it for the city. PA has some of the worst roads and being in a mountain this was a great choice. Worth the investment!
