This didn't work for me but I eventually got it by doing this: Open device manager. Click on "Universal Serial Bus controllers" towards the bottom. Click on the "USB Composite Device" option that comes up underneath. Go to "Driver" on the top left. Click "Update Driver" Pick the "Browse my computer for drivers" option. Then click "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer" I then picked "USB Composite Device" and finally hit "Enter" and my wireless mouse started working again.

I have found another way to do this! 1: Open Device Manager. 2: Locate Universal Serial Bus controllers. 3: Disable & Re-enable any Universal Serial Bus controllers that have the ! symbol. 4: If done correctly, you will hear a little ding. Hope fully this guide helps!

It does not solve the problem, If you have an Issue of "USB Device Not Recognized" you can't actually see the device driver under "Mice and other pointing devices" but instead you will see "Unknown Device" under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" with exclamation mark on it.

pocius4 I found a solution well it worked for me you want to go find the driver you want to update in human interface devices to find HD compliant device then change it to HD compliant mouse then mice and other devices should appear which means that it should be fixed

if it wasn't for this, I wouldn't have known how to navigate device manager, but for me it was under USB controller and my mouse had Error Code 43 so I just reinstalled drivers on that and it works now, Thanks a lot!

I did it as shown in the video, it did recognized the mouse but there was like a ⚠ symbol which means there's still a problem, so you should tell the PC to automatically look for driver online or update the driver INSTEAD of letting it to find it in the current drivers library. That worked for me.

Followed all the steps and then my mouse stopped working completely. Had to restart my computer and plug my mouse into another USB port before I got it working again. Now my "mice and devices" are missing from my list as well (had it before I did this guide). Maybe the mice won't die on me again though so I can't say if the guide worked or not, time will tell =)

My problem is that windows 10 is not recognizing my mouse as a G602 mouse is listed in the device manager as HID compliant mouse. The mouse does work but is having some connection problems. I am trying to pared the mouse again using the Logitech connection software but is not finding the mouse because windows 10 have it as HID compliant mouse and not as a Logitech G602 mouse.

So I just started having this "Last USB device plugged in has malfunctioned" error today. I am using my comp then hear the unplug sound followed by the plug in sound then the error. All I have to do is physically unplug the mouse and plug it back in then it works. My computer and mouse are almost 9 years old, and the original keyboard died 6 months ago(with no error just ded). I plug the USB mouse in and immediately get the "device not recognized" error bubble. The computer doesn't even know its a mouse, so there is no option for it under mice devices to even go through with your suggestions. The mouse works on a different computer, both same OS.
