I dropped my laptop and it just wouldn't start. Turned out the RAM just came out of the slot fit a bit and I just had to fit it back into it's slot properly. Your 3rd point worked for (although I had no need to clean it). You are amazing man! Thanks a ton.

DON'T swipe the RAM connectors with your fingers like this guy does. The oil and grease from your skin can prob ruin the connector panels over time and there's the risk of microstatic frying your ram too.

Just sharing : In case of 5 slow blink and 3 fast blink. Try this - Remove the main battery of your laptop, now remove CMOS battery also from the motherboard, After like 30-40 seconds, connect CMOS and then main battery again and restart. This should solve the issue. This worked for me.

I tried the first 3 method but it didn't work, i was about to lose hope and thought that maybe i should just send it to the repair shop. Until i tried the last option the 4th method. first, switch off the system then after 10seconds press win+b+power and let go power button after 2seconds and keep on pressing win+b..soon ur bios reset opens ...if it doesn't then look at ur keyboard buttons which have li8...like caps lock button... then there will be some pattern of blinking go to hp site check this issue they have mentioned it ...wat is the problem on basis of pattern

Bad Methods and bad grammar! "Try to screw tight your hard disk"? Those screws just lock down the drive and have nothing to do with the power/data connection to the drive. And cleaning RAM with fingers? really? For people reading this, most likely these procedures will not fix your issue..

Is yours hp ProBook i7 470? Because if it is, I understand what you mean. Opening it just to clean the fan is super difficult and scary, one wrong move and it will be gone.
