Yeah mine doesn’t show ANY apps that have requested mic or camera access all of the sudden. Not sure what’s going on but I can’t do anything on my iPhone anymore except text and call. When I reinstalled discord it didn’t ask for the permissions.

I was having issues with life streaming on Facebook live and wasn’t unable to use text to speech on Facebook live when I was trying to communicate with my friends this video helps so much because everything work except on live chat and I really appreciate your help. In today's video, I'm going to show you how to fix the missing mic access on certain apps on your iPhone. Let's get started. There might be several reasons why you no longer have access to your microphone in an app. Checking your settings is probably the first step you want to take. Go into settings, and once there, look for privacy and security. Now, we're on iOS 16, so it might be slightly different, but this is the latest version, so I'll show you on iOS 16. Click on privacy and security. Once you do that, there's an option for the microphone. Click on that, and it will list all the apps that have access to your mic. If a certain app is turned off, you'll want to make sure it is turned on so that when you're trying to use the mic, it will be accessible. Ensure those apps that you need have access turned on. Now, the other place to check is the main settings page. If you scroll down, all the apps on your phone that you have downloaded are listed. For example, let's take Facebook. If you click on it, there are options for things like the mic and camera. If the mic was turned off for some reason, you'll want to ensure it's turned on as well. So those are two settings you want to check to ensure they're working. If your issue is more complicated, we'll be in settings, but this time we'll look for screen time. If you click on screen time, it should look something like this, assuming it's set up. You'll see an option for content and privacy restriction. Click on that, and once you do, a couple of things to check if this is turned on. Under microphone, make sure that it's allowed, and then ensure the apps you have are on. Another place to check in the app settings is to ensure things like the camera are turned on if you're trying to use the mic with the camera and not getting sound. If you're still having issues where the allow microphone option isn't appearing or is still missing on your app, for example, on Snapchat, what you'll do is delete the app. Press and hold the app icon, then choose delete app and confirm by clicking the delete button. Alternatively, for another app, press and hold, and select remove app. After deleting, go back to the app store and re-download the app. For example, if you have issues with Snapchat and the microphone, go ahead and reinstall it. Once installed and reopened, you should see options like allow notifications, allow camera access, and then allow microphone access reappear for you to try. If you're still having issues with no access to the microphone, the next thing you can do is a force restart. This will not delete any data, videos, or apps on your phone but will give the phone a nice reboot, fixing any minor software issues. To do this, press the volume up, then press the volume down, and hold the big side button on your right hand side. Don't slide to power off; keep holding that side button until the screen goes completely black. Then, let go of the button. The phone will shut down completely and reload the software, giving it a fresh refresh. If there are any minor software issues impacting access to the microphone, this should fix them. After the phone restarts, enter your passcode, and you should now have access to the microphone. If you're still having issues with microphone access, the next step is to go into settings, look for General, then go down to where it says transfer or reset iPhone, and click on that. Click on the reset option. The option we want is reset all settings. Before doing this, understand that this option will not delete things like your apps, photos, videos, or any personal data on your phone. It will reset network settings, keyboard settings, home screen layout, and any privacy or location settings. This is necessary if you're really having issues with the microphone not working on an app. After doing this, which will take about two to three minutes, if you're still having the issue, the last thing you want to do is start back in the settings, go to General, then software update. Check to see if there is a software update because a previous update might have broken your microphone access for apps. Ensure your iPhone is up to date with the latest version. If there's an update available, click on download and install. This process could take between half an hour to 45 minutes, depending on your Wi-Fi or cellular connection. Make sure you're connected to a power source as well. Once done, hopefully, your mic access issue is resolved.
