how to fix ANY stuck items in your Fallout 76 CAMP | inaccessible, needs support, glitched out, etc

After losing many CAMPs to todd's game restrictions, I decided to attempt to compile the most comprehensive list I could of every item that I know of that can glitch out, get stuck, and otherwise ruin a good build, and try to show how to fix each one. I hope this is helpful to you in some way!

@@Gunspud I’m only just seeing this! That specific item has the smallest hitbox I’ve seen and it’s terrible. I’ve gotten it stuck before and couldn’t get it out. Freecam can help if it’s too close to other camp items, but if it’s a world item it’s over

Thanks, these tips almost make fallout 76 camp building possible! This game's building mechanic is so bad it's unbelievable. I still have a base with undeletable stairs connected to fifteen different walkways and foundations all clumped into some sort of mess that will not let me delete anything. But there's like eight different ways to add on to that to supposedly get those removed. It doesn't, just adds to the undeletable mess. Every time I try to build anything with my camp anywhere, even after moving my camp, everything is perma-placed. But after watching this and a dozen other videos, I think I have a solution. I think I need to delete my account.

I've been enjoying your videos recently and started building a Raider base where you made your Greenhouse Raider build a few months back and I got a bottle stuck in the ground after merging it with a junk wall. I spent an hour trying to get underground just to not be able to grab it, but thanks to you and this video I realized it was too close to a foundation and fixed it quick.

I just wanted to thank you for walking me through fixing a stuck stair in the camp I've spent so many hours building. I placed it to temporarily access the roof and move stuff around, and then ran into the "parts will be inaccessible" bug. It took a lot of tedium, but I was able to route a combination of floors and stairs back down to ground level and connect to a foundation. You're a gentleman and a scholar.

I’ve found that when the Cappy rug kept coming towards you whilst merging is because of the pressure plate is half stuck in the ground! If you move it till it’s above ground then the rug will merge perfectly 👊🏻💥

I had 2 walls stuck, 1 on top of the other. I couldn't delete them. I destroyed both walls, changes them to other types of walls and kept destroying both walls, but they wouldn't delete.🤨 Watched ur video again (I do have it saved but forgot...age ya know), so I destroyed the lower wall and BAM... both walls deleted! I know, I know, I'm a dumb azz, 🤪.

Hello, Mr. Church🙂Your tips helped me a lot while I was building my dream camp, but now I've encountered a really frustrating setback. Basically, I had to temporarily remove one of the foundations I used as a wall and now I can't place it back where it was. It always says "cannot place item intersects with an existing object". There is nothing there, it's marked green. I've even demolished everything nearby, but still no luck. Do you have any neat tricks on how to overcome it?

This could be a number of things, and it depends a lot on where you’re building it. One time I couldn’t place a foundation because there was a beer bottle on the ground that I had to loot xD sometimes it’s a world-item that can’t be moved - but I would guess this isn’t the case if you already got a foundation in there. Look for something like a tire or barrel or piece of wood and see if you can push it around out of the way.

There is nothing I know of that can be done about placing items like walls or stairs in water, but if it’s lights or decor you want to put in there, place it on a foundation outside of water, then move it into the water. Otherwise I don’t think so

1:00 In Fallout 4 when a foundation will not snap into place because it is too low in the ground you can often get it to place by glitching your character underground and snapping the foundation in from underneath. I don't play 76 so I can't say for sure it would work, but it might be worth a try when you don't have room to build a giant spider web of MC Escher stairways and floors or if you are already in the lowest part of the terrain.

In every instance that I’ve tried in 76 to snap a foundation from underground like that, it says the foundation has no support (because it can’t read the ground which it needs - if I’m not mistaken you place foundations a lot more forgivingly in 4 in general)

there are good flat spots in each region, my fav for clean builds is the whitesprings green, and for more rubbish builds I would say the location of my post apocalyptic modern house build

I was watching/building one of your tutorials tonigh. I was done with the main structure and just adding some foundation for an out door area and boom two foundation glitched up and over into the main building. Had too move my camp n jump servers just too get rid of them.

This video is fantastic. Although, I am having an issue with a foundation stuck underground with *small* posts attached to the top half portion of three sides of the foundation. I got underground and can grab the foundation but cannot move it, destroy it, or delete it or the three small posts, aaaaand I am out of ideas.

I had a foundation that got stuck somehow. Frustration and Anger followed, along with a few swears with my wife telling me to calm down. I ended up making something that looked like rube goldberg was my camp builder. I had stairs going over the roof and at one point even had some going in the underworld and try to remove it from underneath. In the end I did remove it, then a day later I removed the camp lol. I guess the frustration of it just made me hate the camp lol

You can’t have upper floors with no stairs - it’s the only thing that gives them support and they require support

My worse experience, hope you have a comfy chair & a cup of tea… My second character I’d made a nice house next to a river on uneven ground but although it wasn’t anything spectacular I liked it mainly because it took me ages lining things up (pc) Fast forward a few months I decided I needed to put the ammo machine down so plonked down one of the ready made sheds. It was like the Tardis in reverse, huge on the outside and much smaller inside. Anyway I spent ages trying to get stairs where I wanted them & was about to give up when the game decided it would grant green to stairs half buried under the ground. Well this works, I thought. Then I went inside and discovered how teeny it was so tried to delete it. Needless to say I couldn’t delete the shed with stairs attached and the stairs could not be deleted because the building wouldn’t have access. It was empty. I tried every now and then to rid myself of it but finally had to just move camp. It was a sad day. Let that be a lesson to all new players. Particularly on pc. My son builds on x box and it’s quite a bit easier with a controller. Thanks for vid though Mr C even though I don’t build anymore.

Have you tried destroying the wall in the middle and deleting the other two then? Otherwise, destroy the two on top and bottom and delete the middle

I've simply just got a wooden wall next to my base that I can't remove or move anywhere else. I thought about destroying it somehow and ive tried shooting with even heavy artillery. The shitty part is I'm max storage for building, another pretty dumb mechanic. Anything I take away to try to replace with something else, can't do it. But try to put the thing I just had back up, and it says it's still maxed out. I wish youtube had a way to post pictures

Probably not, the badboy water surrounding things keeps you from accessing it. Unless there was a place where the foundation was peaking out of the cube-like water area underground (usually the water goes on below the map)

I have tried to move my camp and it has made everything go in to the stored builds. but now i cant place anything because it says its floating ive tried everything to get it to place but no luck. i cant start all over again as it is stored now and takes up 80% of my budget? so now i have a camp that has no function. wish there was a way to delete the stored builds or reset a camp to 0% ANY ADVISE??????????????????

So, when we move our camps it auto-blueprints any items that are "attached" or supported by one another. Unfortunately, if any of the items in that chunk of items are slightly too close, had to be placed in a certain order, if there are any wires attached, any items even partially merged, etc., the blueprint won't work. It is actually almost impossible to get these blueprints to ever place on a fully made CAMP. You can, however scrap that. You should see an option "scrap and store items" when you have the stored chunk selected. This will break the blueprint up into individual pieces and place them in your stored tab. You can then delete them individually, or place them down again. Hope this helps!

I built a camp logged out came back the next day mycampus gone and couldn't replace it there's nothing else there and I get some kind of error message and I can't put it back where it came from

Do you remember what the error message was? Did it say "camp cannot be placed" and give you a free camp placement?

@@misterchurch666 yes I think I might have though ! I think I had a piece floating in the build I raised it up and moved it and added stairs and it seemed to help me place it but not where I wanted or had it.

I have abunch of floors floating on a staircase with no support the stairs are underground what the hell can i do?

Are you able to build stairs going up towards the surface? if you can get them peaking up a bit, you can try placing a foundation on the stair once its coming out of the ground, which should give everything attached to it support, provided the foundation is not too low or high up in the air
