As someone who has messed around with all of these adjustment layers without any advice and tutorial, this is a very nice video to actually tell me what I'm doing comparted to me just, "move things till it looks nice"

If you can’t do that on your program, I recommend making a layer on top of everything and colouring it entirely with a semi-clear brush of the wanted colour. That way, if you really want to make something or a highlight stand out, erase the semi-transparent layer on that specific part of the drawing. Hope this can help!

Another tip! Gradient maps! they're really useful if you want the dark, mid or bright tones to have a slight specific hue to them :) don't be afraid to mess w the opacity too

I had a curious question, not just for Crowne but for everyone who has experienced this art app. What are your thoughts on ibisPaint? I've had it for many years and I love it. But how well does it compete with other art apps and maybe even other programs?

in my opinion ibis paint is the best free mobile art app, the amount of features it has is simply on another level compared to other apps (at least the android ones) the only other app that i can see being better than ibis is krita (idk abt ios but theres krita on android) however, krita's interface can be very hard and confusing to navigate for beginners, while ibis is much simpler to use, plus it's made FOR mobile and not a computer program ported to mobile i'd say these two apps are almost on the same level as clip sudio paint (the program i like the most), the only big thing that i see them lacking is vector layers (for ibis) and 3D models but ibis has a library of assets so it kinda compensates

I started my digital art with an app called artflow. Super basic, but it worked for what I needed till it updated and messed with all the opacities of the brushes Spent a good three months looking for apps and settled on Ibis. Really easy to use, has a lot of neat gadgets, for free. And, the paid service (which my husband used to get rid of ads) has a lot of EXTRA goodies as well It's my favorite mobile art app and I've made animations, bases, and files with 60 layers in them Totally recommend for mobile users

I use ibisPaintX, does that have an equivalent to the gradient adjustment layers? I tried checking but there are 84 different ones and there's no search feature for a quick check.

Ironically, adjustment layers are what scared me _away_ from Adobe Photoshop. All I wanted to do that one time was open a simple image, do some standard exposure tweaks, resize and save a new copy -- but I just COULD NOT seem to find _any_ exposure controls (levels, curves, etc.) anywhere I looked. Menus, toolbars, everything, just couldn't find it.
