How to fix Brother printer alignment problem

I had the same alignment problem and tried all the offical solutions, all proved useless as nobody addressed the issue of the alignment ribbon the printer head runs along. Tried the auto and manual alignement tools in the Brother menu, again useless. Gave this a go after spending hours messing about with the heads and trying to clean them. I couldn't believe how well it worked, printer is spot on alignment wise now so I want to thank you :)

Thank you my man this fixed my printer. It wasn't the same model in the video but it still had that same plastic strip that you cleaned. After cleaning the alignment issue went away.

So what I'm gathering here is that semi-transparent plastic ribbon suspended across the print bed is for X head alignment, and over time stray ink drops can land on the ribbon and throw alignment out of sorts. Gently cleaning that ribbon will allow the print head to detect its position accurately and correct the alignment issue. Great video, thanks for the upload.

Boss, hindi gumagalaw yung printer head at mayroon na natagal na copper wire parang style bingwit, di ko po alam kung saan naka kabit yun, kaya di gumagalaw yung printer head. need help po. yung printer head dapat pong palitan na. kaso ayaw naman po gumalaw yung head, basta umiikot lang yung roller. yung printer ko po ay MFC J220

mam pag yung test print completo lahat kailangan ng alignment don sa maintenance mode 761 po yung code pero medyo mahirap nga lang po pag hindi mo kabisado lalong masisira yung alignment pag nagkamali ka gawa kita video pag nakabalik na ako sa work closed kc kami ngayon

Boss paano po kung nagpri-print ka sa brother printer tapos imbis na sa papel lang siya magprint lumalagpas siya sa papel. Lumalagpas lang po siya pag ang gamit kong papel ay legal. Thank you po
