so I've done everything you said to in this video and nothing works. I just bought the game on steam and can't do anything with it. Do you have any other solutions? ***IN ADDITION*** I cannot get the message -updating executable- to go away and have watched multiple videos and read sub reddits on how to fix this and nothing is working

I have the exact same problem, just got it today. Do you happen to have an intel a580 graphics card too? Edit: from what I am seeing on Reddit maybe we just need to keep pressing play like 20 times and eventually it will just start. Assuming you have directx from Microsoft”s website already?
