Definitely onto something with this. Love the burn to gain collection score idea. Could even go further and say (burn a tier 5 it counts as 20 points, tier 4 30 points.. and so on.) So burning a higher value card rewards you extra. Obv would then have to tweak the scores needed to gain % bonuses like you say. Nice idea overall, Alex. 👍

Here’s a crazy idea, collection events. For example, shirts, experiences etc through sorare’s partnerships. Oh wait, they did. And they took it away when they introduced boxes.

I am really happy you made that video - Collections should be more in the focus 💖 Yes, exactly, it's about honoring the top collectors. Of course there is the 5% but as you rightly say you already have it at 750. So why go that extra mile and spice it up with number ONEs, Special Editions, Jersey Mints or the very few unopened exclusive Early Access cards from players who have been transferred? Primarily for yourself and your love of collecting and completing things, that is true and rewarding already. But currently there is nothing left else for the top collectors. E.g. I never got anything for any of my collections. The 21/22 OG season are to old and this In season they do not give away anything so far. Only for a short time there were sometimes jerseys or something similar in the last season. But sorare stopped that. And I think that's a huge missed opportunity. Loyal and satisfied collectors are good for the platform; they bind entire collections to themselves, there would be an exciting side game reaching a top 10 or top 20 rang in the global leaderboard or actually become number one and collecting is contagious 😂 There was a small tweet from sorare that they wanted to give more love to collections again, and I support that. I hope they establish something this In-Season, not only for the next season. I find your other idea interesting, what you describe makes sense. I really like it when the topic comes to the focus again, whatever overall solution prevails. It's cool you made up some ideas and showed possibilities. Thanks for that ✊ I expect for sorare do the same, no as it is their platform, I expect actually more. A well thought through concept which will be set with knowledge about it in advance. So that everybody can act accordingly. E.g. an announcement that the top 1, top 3 top 10 or whatever is suitable on this topic on a specific date January 1st 2025 or any other date will have the chance to win or play for sth. Could be socks, or merch or a special card or jersey or whatever is suitable for their budget. That is just an example, just reward high end collectors, and have a solid plan for the tool collections overall is my wish. I am fully aware it is not their priority but it is a relatively easy topic to solve with a win win solution for sorare and its players. Thats what I am hoping for 🍀

I think it’s definitely an idea that has legs mate and some very sensible suggestions in there. I’m definitely taking advantage of 3 or 4 clubs now where I have 2% or 3% collection bonus which I agree is too generous when I only own 6-10 cards. I guess my initial thought around burn 🔥 mechanism was will the % of sale earnings for Sorare on the secondary market drive more or less value if we could burn the cards instead. In theory you’re right it should mean supply goes down and new mint values go up, just don’t know what the numbers look like 🤷‍♂️

I’m the #1 collector for a team and I think it should be worth something. However I think each account should only get 1 award for top 3. They should have to pick which team they want a kit from

Think Nep talked about something similar on an SD show and this is probably the only "burn mechanism" suggestion I've heard that doesn't make me want to vomit. I think your balance is off with the numbers but that's okay, numbers aren't the important part. I very much agree that collections need fixing, 2% you get without even trying usually and the rewards for top collectors are just, not really there. Not sure how to fix collections rewards tho.

I have just got rid of 4 full collections this weekend as just don’t see why spending an extra £40 well for minor clubs to get only a 5% bonus increase okay they did the shirt giveaways but potentially bring full collection only line up game mode?

I started collecting just over a year ago, I’m #1 in 2 limited collections and had fuck all for being #1 it’s not worth it any more when I first started they was giving out signed shirts for #1 this is what made me start collecting and now I see that’s for just 5% Also how does this burn mechanism benefit Sorare as if it doesn’t it won’t happen

I think it benefits them a lot, low value cards being more valuable, they’ll be selling them all season and lots won in classic season which they know they need to boost rewards on somehow

@@SimplyAlexGaming the reward 100% need sorting in classic, I really loved collecting the cards when I could last year now it seems pointless and won’t be getting a full collection anytime soon if things don’t change. Keep making the content for us! And I’ll be reading most comments to see peoples opinions 😘👍👊
