Great idea and great job! I wonder if using expanding foam (the low expanding type) could be used where the crack width is uneven. Some cracks may start skinny but get wider, and then skinny again. I'm going to try this on my concrete patio.

I love, love you and your channel. I did try Slab and it’s an awesome product. Just be forewarned if you have a very “refined” type of driveway, one that doesn’t show a lot of stones. it gets discolored from your tires when you drive over it. My driveway is fairly light and I also pressure washed it first. The color looked great until dirt from mowing and like I said before black tire marks formed. I read that certain tires will make marks on sealants. It still did the trick but disappointed that it’s now dark. Great job as always!

seejanedrill something else I think that should be pointed out. A lot of people forget or do not know a couple of steps when fixing concrete cracks. The most common products that are used to repair the cracks need you ( or should ) to do the following steps. A, wetting down the concrete before placing any product (unless the instructions say otherwise ). When repairing the crack if the concrete is dry it can wick away most if not all of the moisture out of the product that you are using. And that in itself can cause that product to fail, it may not bond to the concrete or it may crack and flake. B, use a bonding agent to help the product you use to bond to older concrete. Older concrete once fully cured does not bond very well to new products. So using a good bonding agent will help with this allowing a strong and complete inherence of crack repair. Each product used will have different instructions but I have found that doing those 2 things will help out in the future to make sure that the repair works well and lasts.

Love your videos Leah. The deck over my crawlspace didn't show huge crack until I got into the crawlspace and the one slab on the deck split about 3-4" wide. It was a fluke I found it because the top of the deck looked like a hairline crack when I bought the house. The seller hid this from me as I noticed when they painted the deck green it all dripped down below in the crawlspace. Looks like a 4" grinder with a diamond blade to complete the top portion after I used Ty S Masonry from underneath will use the filler and add Masonry on top. I'm trying to complete the job with the least amount of air gaps as possible. I have to cheap the job as funds are low and debts are high. Does this sound like an effective fix to you? Thanks in advance.

Hi Leah and thank you for your vedeo but shouldn’t you power wash the crack real good after taking out the dirt? The caulking will really bond inside the crack if it’s whistle clean because basically the caulking would be hitting mold and dirt still if it’s not power washed.

Have horrible cracks and the cement has raised in places. (I live in earthquake prone Calif.) Used a grinder to level some of it. Then pressure washed, dried, took a wire brush, and ended up opening some of the cracks that were narrow but deep. (over 2 inches) Put in packing peanuts, as my local store was out of backer rod. Then used the slab stuff. Worked great, but it sank.(2 years ago) So I'm getting ready to either pull out old sealant (slab) and get some backer rod as its back in stock. Then do the slab stuff again. Wish I could just put the new stuff over the old, but I can't find anything saying that can be done...By the way, it does turn blackish in spots, and getting sticky even after 2 years. Someone said I should put a masonary or portland slurry (watery ) over the top and feather it out to hide the repair. What do you think?
