Thanks. What I needed from you was how to find all the screws. My model actually had side screws too. But you gave me the idea to search harder.

I have one that seems to have the humidity sensor out of adjustment. Hygrometer reads 65% humidity, but the dehumidifier is reading 45%. It draws water in continuous mode, but if I set the dehumidifier to 60% it ends up not pulling water. Can you tell me what the problem is?

How do you replace the hunidity sensor?

Here is a problem that has me stumped. The pump stopped pumping water so the water filled the bucket. The pump light was flashing. I emptied the bucket and then the pump started pumping again but when it shut off automatically the pump light would start flashing and it would not turn on unless I turned off the power before the bucket was full and turned the power back on. If the bucket was full I would have to empty the bucket as the unit would not run until I did. The pump would work when I turned it back on. Then the cycle begins again, it automatically shuts off and the pump light starts flashing I would have to turn the power off and back on to get the pump to work again but only if the bucket was not full. Is there a solenoid or circuit board that controlled the pump that went bad? Could the pump be bad?

Have you ever fixed an “E9” error code on one of these ?? IF so, Can you please post a video of the fix?
@drewmedic233 жыл бұрын
I'm going through the same thing. I called "customer service" who informed me that E9 is some sort of miscommunication between the humidity sensor and thermistor. I easily located the humidity sensor and saw it caked with dust. Unplugged it, hit it with some air and plugged it back in. It seems to be working fine as of now but time will tell.

@@drewmedic23 thanks for the reply… I tried this and not luck here. Anyone know Is there a way to by-pass the sensor or trick it with a resistor and always keep the unit running??
@drewmedic233 жыл бұрын
@@jbh.6257 The replacement humidity sensors are about $20 but you can jump the two wires together to short the humidity sensor to force the unit to run continuously.
@jbh.62573 жыл бұрын
@@drewmedic23 tried connecting the two pins on the sensor(soldered them together). And it only makes the display show “88” now but still kicks the E9 code after a while and shuts the compressor off ; but fan still runs. :(

@@jbh.6257 I actually had the same issue...I think the thermistor went bad rather than the humidity sensor. I'm ordering a new thermistor and I'm hoping that works

So if the freon level has dropped over the past year or so. That means there is a leak. Is there some kind of "stop leak" additive that permanently fixes the leak?

What about a dds 20 litre delonghi one that dosent collect water .when on the drying mode .please

You add stop leak to a Freon system = might as well throw it in the garbage. Stop leak clogs orifaces and ruins system. Once put in system impossible to get it out. FIX THE LEAK = FIND LEAK AND SOLDER

I think you've got the evaporator and condenser coils reversed. The evaporator coil is the cold one and contains mostly gas. The condenser is the hot one and contains mostly liquid. Within the circuit, there should be an expansion valve that restricts the flow between the condenser and the evaporator that causes the phase change and the temperature drop. I was not impressed with my Hisense machine...

I should have watched this one first! I'd suggest you to clean the green off and get the pipes very clean in the area of corrosion and possibly a high pressure leak. Then, a leak detector would tell you were to desolder, clean, flux and solder. I'd say the unit was left running in a hot room and it over pressured, but that is pure guess and worthless.

It comes with a 2 year warranty. I called and they are shipping me another one. All I had to do was take photos, fill a emailed form out and cut the cord and show the receipt. All done via email.

Purchased mine June 16, 2019. Worked up to a month ago. Was real loud, would shut off by itself and did not appear to be doing anything anymore. I tore it apart before disposing it/recycling it and saw nothing obvious. No leaks. Checked the pump and found no obstructions. Does appear to collect a lot of slim in the plastic tray where 2 metal screens are. Note! This area is not accessible without dismantling 60% of the unit.

Dude go buy a new one the saddle valves never seal right. The freon will leak back out in due time
