How to fix Electrolux/AEG error code E10

Lack of sleep combined with TV stopped working, sons PC is acting up, and now the washing machine giving me an error code E10 all on the same day, I was ready to run away. Yeah legend, saved me a lot of mucking around and or it heading to the scrappers. Has taken the entire day to fix the laundry after the unit did not stop filling and burst the door open flooding my laundry.

Have Electrolux ewf14922 9kg washer Threw out E10 error with flooding of water in the drum Did everything the manual suggested including cleaning the drain filter, intake water filter and cleaning dispenser tray - no dice Popped the top off and sure enough the the bloody hose was off with a flimsy metal part which barely held it in place You are a legend sir

Hi! I had exactly this problem back in 2013, in less than a year after byuing this machine. This seems to be a small design-flaw of this type. Mine is a: EWF1486HDW Last time I first tried to fix it just by re-attaching the hose, but then the hose popped off just a few weeks later. Then I used a small strip to fasten the hose. Since then, it has worked perfectly since. Until today... Now the same issue occured. The machine filles with a lot of water, and after a while the error code E10 appears. When I opened my machine, I looked down at an old friend: The loose hose :) After fasten it once more with a new strip, I hope my machine will last for even a few years. When waiting for the spinn/drain program to run, I looked at youtube to see if anyone already had made a video for this, and found this video. Nice to see that this video has been out for a while, hopefully helping other people with the same issue that is very easy to solve. :)

I had a similar issue, water fills up all the way to the top and I am getting an E10 error, I am having to drain it then it works As mine works after draining, Could it still be the same issue? Or if the hose was disconnected then it would it not work at all?

thank you so much, my washing machine just kept overfilling until it hit E10, cleaning the drains and filters didn't help. it would drain just fine when putting it on the draining-program. after opening the lid the hose was indeed off and after putting it back on it works again. you are awesome

I was dissappointed when i saw my hose was right where it should be, but then i saw one of water intake valve socket broken, the wires were disconnected and just hanging, i did connect them and now my machine works fine! thanks!

Yes found the tube was loose but was actually a support spring that broke which dropped drum lower. Bit of a pain put spring was cheap but took 2 hours to fix at my newbie rate.

Thx for a nice tip. For me E10 came because the filter in my water-intake was full of shit. Had to disconnect the water-hose and clean the filter. Done in 1 min and everything works good now :)

Hi - my machine stops in the middle of the prgram and has to be restarted which means that it takes in water when restarted. Is this possible if the problem is a loose hose like you show or does that mean that the machine can not start at all?

E10 is a family code. Got E12 after diagnosing. And the issue was the same as here!😃

For me, my intake hose was loose outside the machine. Good suggestion though, I'm not going to dislike it simply because it didn't work for me unlike many others...

Thanks for information was very helpful. My problem was same code and The outlet pipe for the waste water had detached from inside the machine (Access via a panel on the bottom of machine).

Could be solenoid valve that lets water into machine later models have 2 if is faulty that will cause the E10 error message they are available on eBay
