Unnecessary to do all of these, Just edit the old postgresql's conf file located at ``/etc/postgresql/12/main/postgresql.conf `` and replace the port number with a random number and similarly change the port number to the newer one required by openVAS (14, at the time of writting this comment) in the configuration file at ``/etc/postgresql/14/main/postgresql.conf `` and give it a port value of 5432 and restart it by doing ``sudo systemctl restart postgresql`` and run the gvm installer again. The video takes through an entire rollercoaster which isn't even necessary.

Kim I'm sorry hear about your problem in the kali installation process that is weird ,because usually it is very simple, take some time the installation but is very simple . this problem happen when the dependencies or libraries are bad installed my recommendation is make a clean installation of kali 2020.4 and start again , it is not bad if you are beginner you can see it like a practice process
