I can’t stand having to chase this problem much longer so I’m hoping someone can help. I know that this and that has to be set to on or off and everybody and all that. The issue is I’m trying to play with my nephew. When we join a party together it says he won’t be able to hear me because he’s in “console only voice channel” we’ve tried everything to get this to work. Is it a parental control setting? Did he likely put in too young of an age when he signed up and that’s stopping him from cross play? He’s on Xbox I’m on pc. I appreciate any help but I’ll mention again that I’m aware of the standard fixes and none of them have worked.

i think you have to go into your actual xbox settings, go to the “general” tab then tap “online safety & family” then tap “privacy & online safety” then tap “xbox privacy” then tap “view details & customize” then tap “communication & multiplayer” then go over to where it says “You can communicate outside Xbox with voice & text” then put it to everybody. mine for some reason was set to “in-game friends”

For everyone I FOUND THE SOLUTION!!! search down left in desktop date and time and if u see 2 bars turn them off and click the countries u see at the bottom and put ur country then enable those 2 bars again and click synce then it should work

Do not uninstall Fortnite. This is a quick and easy fix delete the save file to Fortnite do not delete the game, then do a hard reset disconnect the power cable from the Xbox count to 20 in plug Xbox back run Fortnite you’re welcome
