I have had an issue with my iphone x after replacing my screen, i was struggling for months no fault no where. I put my iphone into DFU mode a deeper process than a actual factory reset and it worked. it will restore your phone and download the current ios again. Not sure if it will work for everyone but it definitely worked for me.

for me face ID sometimes stops working when there is an IOS update that i need to do. or for some reason i need to reboot. Then it starts working again.. but during the or after the december 2022 updates.. as of now, it is still not working.

Just helping to answer your question. No, you can't because the flex cable has a specific code to the motherboard. This one is similar like when you demage your touch ID flex cable in iphone 5s, you can not repalce it with another flex cable. But you need to fix the demage one.

You can do damage to the plastic casing as long as the traces are intact. It's not enough to affect the copper inside.

Hi Hernan. Thanks for the comment. 1. We applied 240℃ Celsius with our heat gun. 2. The temperature of Soldering Iron is about 330℃~350℃ Celsius. 3. The Flood Illuminator Module we used is a new one, so we do not need to tin the pads.

Hernan Narcisi You have to use the same Flood Illuminator to get the FaceID working properly. What he broke was the flex, so basically he took the original flood illuminator and put it in a new flex. Only people that I know that use different flood illuminators are Apple guys, their screens come with the whole front thing, they program it for the iPhone that it’ll use and let it go 👌🏻

Hello Sir, thanks for this amazing help i have an issue with my Face id on iPhone X the problem is it keeps saying (move your head a little higher/ position your face inside the square) but nothing happens after i checked the 2 dots and they are there and working, i checked the flood illuminator by calling and the screen went black which means it's also working, i checked the portrait for the front camera and it also worked, everything in the phone works perfectly, but i should mention that the Display is Damaged and contains a green lines from the left side, could that be a reason for why the face id isn't working, or just my face id died and that's it?

The flood illuminator on the earpiece speaker flex cable is part of the Face ID security feature and therefore should be the original one. If the Face ID failure is caused by the earpiece speaker flex cable, you can replace the earpiece speaker flex cable and transplant the original flood illuminator module to the new flex cable. Hope it can be helpful for you :)

ihsan gene The only thing that you need is to get your original earpiece without broken it and then install it with your new aftermarket screen. Also you don’t have to remove yours Face ID 👌🏻

Hello I bought an entire flex cable/ear piece/flood light sensor part from ebay, it had all of the components already attached. After installing it in the customers phone the FACE ID does not work. Is this a software issue that a DFU restore would repair?

Hello, this is not a software issue and a DFU restore cannot solve the problem. Please be noted that the flex cable of FACE ID is paired to the motherboard inside the iPhone. The replacement can cause the Face ID failure as you mentioned.

I have this exact issue, I punch the back of my phone (whilst the cover is still on) and then it starts working. Not sure if it’s like a loose wire or something but I’m not tryna open up my phone, that’s risky.

And my back phone camera sometimes work sometimes not, is there any problem with my back camera too?
