Thank you for posting! I replaced my starter, tried to jump start the tractor, charged the battery, and all I got was a clicking sound. I thought my PTO lever safety switch was down at the other end of the cable. Didn't know the switch was there! Watched your video, went outside, manually pressed the switch... And my tractor fired right up! I'll be replacing that switch soon. Thanks for the help!

Thanks Friend. You saved me a lot of time, money, and a heap of cussing. Preciate it.

Thanks, your video helped me. Even though my BX2200 is completely different, you got me looking at my tractor's PTO safety switch. I figured out the switch was not being depressed fully with the PTO lever disengaged, which prevented the tractor from starting.

Thanks for putting up the whole process! I'm not the only one who has to get a different tool, something breaks while fixing something, or some other adventure!

Thank you so much. Saved me a lot of stress when my tractor would not start after taking a bush hogging break. Was able to wiggle pto on off to get started.

I had a similar problem with my L3901 which is located on the floor. When getting off the tractor I would accidentally hit the pto lever with my foot, I just used a small bungee cord to keep the PTO off until I use it. Same problem when the lever was up, it wouldn’t start.

I wonder if mine is out of adjustme t to? I engage my PTO and the tractor shuts off.

Possible, but on mine, once it's running, I don't think the switch matters anymore.

Any 'safety' system that fails often enough to convince owners / operators to bypass those systems IS DESIGNED WRONG by the manufacturer!

I disable mine. They are worthless. How do you think the farmers in the 60's survived without safety switches? 😂
