hello sir can i ask you a question...one time i charge my phone on my usb laptop port and i left it overnight. in the morning when i saw my phone is not charging anymore and the windows notifications keep popping up with the usb power surge and the port i used cannot be used anymore and furthermore the laptop part which where the usb port is located keep generating a lot of heat even when the laptop turned off. i already tried to reinstall the driver, disabling the usb port and even unplugged the battery from the laptop itself although unplugging the battery removes the heat but the moment i plugged in the battery to the laptop it instantly generate insane amount of heat. please can u help me with any explanation and why this would happend and is it dangerous to the laptop?. because right now i cant service the laptop cause im on my final year on college im scared if i need to service it my data will all be wiped outt PLEASE HELP FOR THE EXPLANATION KIND SIR...

possible short on the 5V , usb side. usb power rail. it may also affect other USB ports, you can try to plug any usb devices on the other ports, if that is the same pop up message then the 5V power rail is shorted to ground
