man i am so glad i found you on this video after 10 years i started my pond and over night i lost a lot of water the pump was gurgling so i turned it of and after taking the rocks apart around the atlantic water falls i see that the flange was broke in 4 pieces and there was two holes in the liner where it was attached to the falls, i didn't now what i was gonna do but when you said like a over lap or bib i was relieved i am now ordering a piece of liner and and silicone thank you brother

I use a couple of Awl's to pierce and hold the liner before putting in the screws. I also buy stainless steel hardware a couple boxes at a time. Comes in extremely handy for the old aquascape biofall and skimmer systems.

I'm confused as to why you didn't bond the bib to the existing liner..... I know it would have been a nightmare to get the old liner clean but surely capillary action will cause it to leak between the two layers?
