Ivy Najera There is very little chance of your phone connector to loosen and eventually have connection problems. But if you don't have any other way to solve your problem this might be the solution for you, but if you have no experiences in opening an iPhone I recommend you to go to a private repair shop and let them find out the problem and possibly fix it themselves. This is an old video, as you can see. And atm I really had no passion in making videos and putting subtitles in them. Sorry for the lack of quality on this video in case you are going to try doing this by yourself.

So, are you saying that there is dust in the 3rd connector? This would make sense as the top of my iPhone 5c was popping out(glue had came off) lots of dust came in from the top because of the gap at the top. Also the screen is sometimes responsive and sometimes isn't. You can see other apps behind the screen and the lines arnt major. Please reply

Anyone wondering- 1- if u don't have a special screwdriver for iPhone, normal tweezers work with patience, for the screws inside, try to use a normal screwdriver but if u don't have access to one, very carefully use the tweezers

This problem has nothing to do with cleaning the connectors. It usually happens after drop, the physical shock damages the solder balls under the two touch IC chips U12 or U15 on the logic board and they loose contact. The right way to repair is to reflow or if needed to replace both touch IC. After the shown procedure in this video, the phone might work for few days because when you poke and push around the connectors you re-seat the balls, the 2 IC chips are located right of the opposite side of the logic board below connectors.

Your screen is probably broken which is not related to this method. there's a TINY chance that this method might work though, so if you're going to throw the phone away or something you might want to try this method. otherwise visit a retail store

Matthew Downs not really 'rubbing the parts with a brush'. it's more like removing dust from the LCD connector; this works for some people that have a drowned iphone or people who opened their iphone before.

I think your LCD is broken before doing the process; buy a new one or get a repair on Apple. EDIT: You can also try this again. If it still doesn't work, you can get a new LCD.

The screw driver from the repair kit wouldn't get the two bottom screws off of the metal thing so I gave up and put it all back on and the screws in the right places, but now my screen is black. I don't understand what happened since I didn't break anything or even mess with it.

Your iphone should be taken into a store. In your case, no matter how precisely you do this method it'll do nothing. Your iPhone 5C seems to have a problem with the digitizer; which means it should be fully repaired with a new digitizer. Thank you for watching!

No, I do not think this would even work.. It might actually be your battery inflating. This has been an issue since the iPhone 5, but Apple claims to swap the batteries out OR might give you a new one. However, if the warranty is void you will not be able to get a repair.

I was actually stuck having lines on my daily driver iPhone 5C some time ago, so I did some research; and it turned out that dust got in between the connectors. So essentially I am an ordinary person who just wanted to share how I repaired my iPhone :) This might be a better video. The screws are all in different sizes and putting them into wrong holes might damage your motherboard beneath it!
