I what four other videos and no one told me to get the first four digits of the serial number and the ones that have the one like I have which has eight numbers with dashes that didn't work none of the 1234 another 1235 none of it works but when I got there first for the serial number and added 1234 to it it works and I'm in apartment complex so we have these in my apartment thanks so much for your help on the heat

You probably had an 24 volt issue. Such as the float switch shut off the system or the fuse blew.

Double check the first four digits on s/n. Those should be the numbers you use.

I tried first putting in 1234 without luck. Then I added the 4 digit number from the back and added it to the 1234, still did no work. I do believe I have a T6 Honeywell pro series. What now????

You could have a defective thermostat. The method works if you plug in the numbers correctly. Or Sometimes the first 4 serial number are different, try using those see if it works.

Can that 4 digit code be changed and personalized. I manage an apartment complex (utilities included) and I know the tenants will find a video like this and figure it out and keep changing to ridiculously low temperatures. If not do u know of any thermostats that do? Thank u

Luke, No that 4 digit number won’t change. I’m sure there’s another thermostat out there in the world that has that option but I don’t know at this moment.

Check if the first 4 digits with arrow on right match the first 4 digits of the s/n #’s. If not use the first 4 digits of the s/n #. That should do it. If not there’s something else happening to the point of possibility needing to replace the thermostat. What is the thermostat showing/ doing?

Your equipment may have lost its 24 volts if the screen has went blank. Seek help from your local HVAC technician.

Check your serial number try using the first 4 digits instead. Some come from the manufacturer that way.

Problem: Indoor Temperature Sensor Details: If you see this error, it means that the indoor temperature sensor of the thermostat is either disconnected or not wired properly. Seek professional assistance from your HVAC technician.

Sorry to hear that.. I’ve had one not work for me as well. Ended up being the first 4 S/N # on the left side rather than 4 digits on the right. Crazy part is they’re supposed to match.
