TLDR; disable absolute volume in Developer Options. Course now what happens is you have two volume controls to manage. There is one on the phone and another on the headset. Absolute volume makes it easier to manage whether you adjust the volume on the headset or phone/PC so you will lose that with this workaround. These videos never mention what you gave up in exchange for what you get. Now you know 😉
