We had an issue with headphones not working at all for weeks. Followed the signal flow under Midi and with this videos help located the issue under a drift correction option. Thnx man!

1:46 go to "System Preferences" - I believe this where the work begins. Then around 2:50 he says "type in Midi" in Spotlight search (command-space). The screen shows the balance for two sides of the headphones. My output for both headphones are at the same level, but I still can't hear from the left side. Worked fine earlier today. This is the second set of headphones I have bought which work fine for a few days and then one side goes out. What to do??? What is going on? HELP!

Thank you for you vids man. I have a specific issue that i'd like your advice on. So I downloaded a video editing software along with ableton live 9 from the internet. But when I open them it takes FOREVER for them to actually open, almost like it gets stuck. Same thing with Google chrome. It will say app not responding for the longest time but it eventually opens up if I wait long enough. Other apps not downloaded from the web will open much quicker. I do have some viruses that I'm currently cleaning with sophos...do you think once I do a full system scan and clean it will help those apps open quicker

Just wanted to add this for anyone who tried this and didn't have any success with it: Try restarting your MacBook if you haven't already. I am using a MacBook Air and this resolved my issue for some reason.

Hello I plugged my headphones in but no sound is in coming out of them, I’ve check the output sound setting to make sure nothing was muted and that was fine but still nothing. I checked midi and I see external headphones with a little box with exclamation next to it. I can’t adjust the 1 & 2 option under master volume tab. What does this mean ? Wow! Super Pro fix! Quick and Easy! When I plugged my headphones in, the midi audio output switched to CH1 being out of balance with Ch2, I made the adjustment and now headphones work perfectly, thank u!

That's probably because your balance was not centered in the "Output" section, below is the "Balance". "Go to System Preferences > Sound > Output > Balance".

I was having an issue with my Artis 9x mic not working. Audio was good, but no mic. In the same Midi section tap on the Arctis headset's Mic and adjust the Master slider. I put mine on all the way. Now my Mac picks up the mic and I can talk on Discord. \0/

How do I fix my headphone jack? When I plug in my headphone jack to my Mac Book Pro 15, the sound doesn't go through my headphone and I can only hear it through the Macbook speaker. In the Sound output device, I don't see the headphone option. How I fix this issue? Is it the headphone jack itself broke? But it looks perfectly fine with the naked eyes and it's not loose or anything. Any idea?
